Summer was in the air at Cleo’s annual swim issue party, which was held last night at Water Bar in Woolloomooloo, Sydney. VIP guests including Jesinta Campbell, Hayden Quinn, Timomatic and Nathan Jolliffe joined sponsors and media to snack on delicious canapés, sip Sangria and watch a swimsuit parade that saw Cheyenne Tozzi strutting in fine form. The magazine’s swim issue cover girl, a Josh Goot-clad Lara Bingle, was also at the event, and before entering the party she told us why being in the publication was special for her: “It’s really nice to be Australian and be a part of the Cleo swimsuit issue. It’s somewhat empowering — they didn’t want to retouch it. I said yes because I think it’s important that a swimsuit should be with a healthy glow and not an unachievable body. I’m really passionate about training hard, eating well and working at your body. I’m honoured to be a part of it.” Lara also joined editor Gemma Crisp for a quick Q&A about her Summer plans, which she said would involve beach time, barbeques, friends and “lots of sex.”
