Zooey Deschanel Makes Her Directorial Debut in a Cute She & Him Music Video

Featuring a wooden duck, a piñata, a beach ball and a '60s-inspired dance routine, Zooey Deschanel made her directorial debut with the video for She & Him's "I Could've Been Your Girl." While M. Ward reads the newspaper with a cup of coffee, Zooey leads a retro dance sequence reminiscent of classic movie musicals. There's a playful charm to the music video, and we see a glimpse of the humour found in New Girl when Zooey knocks over a little boy's bike. If you love her style and the indie duo's music, take a look at their brand-new video.

Emma Stone Has Andrew Garfield's Support For a Very Important Cause

Emma Stone was surrounded by some of her favourite people at an event in Cresskill, New Jersey today.

Emma Stone was surrounded by some of her favourite people at an event in Cresskill, New Jersey today. She attended the 2013 Peace, Love & A Cure Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation benefit with her mother, Krista, and brother, Spencer, and the three stuck together for photos and as they addressed a crowd that included Gayle King and Mary J. Blige. Emma’s mother is a breast cancer survivor, and a couple of years ago, when Krista was declared cancer-free, she and Emma got matching tattoos to mark the occasion: a little pair of bird feet designed by Paul McCartney. Today Emma also had the support of her boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, who gave her a sweet kiss at the benefit.

The Wolverine's New Trailer: What's New and Why You Shouldn't Skip It

It's been four years since Hugh Jackman flexed his claws for X-Men Origins: Wolverine and a few months since we got the first trailer of him in this year's follow-up, The Wolverine.

It's been four years since Hugh Jackman flexed his claws for X-Men Origins: Wolverine and a few months since we got the first trailer of him in this year's follow-up, The Wolverine. We already know this movie takes place after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand, when Logan flees to Japan. In this new instalment, a man whose life he once saved offers to give him the gift of mortality, but that doesn't mean he gets to lead a peaceful life. People are still after him, and this time Logan's not exactly equipped to fight. The second trailer has dropped, and even if you've already seen the first one, there are some key differences.

  • Jean Grey is back. OK, so she's just back in dream form, but the late Jean (Famke Janssen) makes an appearance in this trailer. It seems poor Logan is being tormented by the memory of his former lover — is this some kind of foreshadowing? Will he ever be able to move on and find someone new?
  • It's not as cryptic as the first trailer. While the first trailer devotes precious time to catching up with Wolverine (he's hiding out in remote bars, Skyfall-style), this one gets right down to the point. He agrees to undergo some type of experimental treatment that will make him slightly more human, and in the midst of his sessions, he gets attacked. Speaking of . . .
  • More action! There's extended footage of a crazy fight on top of trains, but even more exciting? There's some kind of giant robot-ninja — ninja-robot? I'll be curious to see how the transitioning Wolverine can handle such an opponent.

The Wolverineopens July 25, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Isla Fisher Sticks to NYC For the Premiere of Now You See Me

After an exciting few days in France for the Cannes Film Festival, Isla Fisher was back in NYC today for the premiere of her new movie Now You See Me (out Aug. 29). She was joined by some of the esteemed actors in the mostly-male cast, including Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Mark Ruffalo, who brought along his wife, Sunrise Coigney, and their three young children. In the film, Isla, Jesse, Woody and Dave Franco are a magic group act who steal money from corrupt business leaders and return it to their audiences during their acts. Meanwhile the FBI is trying to catch them and work out how they’ve been pulling off their daring heists.

Isla’s appearance in NYC today means she’ll be absent from tonight’s Sydney premiere of The Great Gatsby, which will still have a huge star presence thanks to Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Elizabeth Debicki, and filmmakers Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin, along with a host of local talent.

Kate Hudson, Chris Martin and Tom Ford were among the stylish attendees at Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop Summer party held at Mark's Club in London today. Gwyneth wore a printed silk dress by Prabal Gurung for the fashionable fete and posed for pictures with Kate, who was clad in a white metallic pantsuit. The two friends have each been staying busy, both personally and professionally — Gwyneth's weekly Goop newsletter is in its fourth year and has expanded to include designer collaborations and the recent launch of city guide apps. She also hit the red carpet for the Met Gala, celebrated big success with the blockbuster release of Iron Man 3, and gave us some laughs with her most over-the-top recent quotes. Kate, meanwhile, is diving into new projects after it was announced that she'll be joining the cast of Zach Braff's upcoming film, the Kickstarter-financed Wish I Was Here.

Carey Mulligan Returns to Sydney Ahead of Tonight's Great Gatsby Premiere

She may have been dressed down in head-to-toe black and wearing big sunglasses, but it was still hard for Carey Mulligan to completely slip under the radar when she arrived at Sydney Airport this morning.

She may have been dressed down in head-to-toe black and wearing big sunglasses, but it was still hard for Carey Mulligan to completely slip under the radar when she arrived at Sydney Airport this morning. She even pushed her own bags through the terminal at one point. The actress is back in town for tonight’s big premiere of The Great Gatsby, which will be held at the Entertainment Quarter in Sydney. Also returning are director Baz Luhrmann, his wife Catherine Martin, Tobey Maguire and Australian stars Joel Edgerton and Elizabeth Debicki, but the notable absentee is Leonardo DiCaprio, who cited a scheduling conflict as the reason for why he had to pull out of the local premiere.

Leo’s good friend Tobey has already started the Australian press tour and told the Daily Telegraph, “Well, Leo has been with the film doing lots of press and he sends his regrets. He loves Australia and really wanted to come and was actively trying to get out of the commitment he had. But he wasn’t able to. And I am thrilled to be in Sydney. I was getting nostalgic about the experiences I had while I was here and the places I used to go.” The cast recently had a glamorous outing at the Cannes Film Festival when their film opened the event last week, and they have also attended a string of screenings in NYC over the past month.
