Awards season got off to a good start with the 2013 People's Choice Awards in LA yesterday. The show was full of big wins, plus plenty of laughs from host Kaley Cuoco and some of her celebrity pals. Jennifer Aniston won favourite comedic movie actress, while Jennifer Lawrence took home favourite dramatic movie actress for The Hunger Games, and the film itself picked up best movie and favourite action movie. The Wanted surprisingly beat out One Direction and Carly Rae Jepsen for favourite breakout artist, and Sandra Bullock was honoured for her humanitarian work in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Sandra teared up while receiving her award, mentioning that the number one reason she loves NOLA is because of "a little sick boy at home who is my man," referring to her son Louis. There were many more statues handed out, so be sure to check out all the People's Choice Award winners.

Other notable moments from the awards show included Happy Endings star Carly Wilson claiming Ian Somerhalder as her boyfriend, Adam Sandler inviting the audience over to Jennifer Aniston's house for pizza, and Jennifer Lawrence declaring that she wishes she was in Mean Girls so she could break her award and hand pieces out to everyone in the audience. There were also performances by Alicia Keys, Jason Aldean and Christina Aguilera. Jennifer Aniston wore a sweet floral dress for her handprint ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today. She had the two main men in her life on hand, her dad John Aniston and boyfriend Justin Theroux. Jen also got support from her Wanderlust co-stars Malin Akerman and Kathryn Hahn, and Just Go With It buddy Adam Sandler.

She kneeled down to put prints on a star that's located outside the W Hollywood Hotel, at the corners of Hollywood Boulevard and and Vine Street. Justin was also present at Jen's Hand and Footprint Ceremony at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Just like in July, Jen made sure to pay attention to Justin — today, she was pictured giving her breakdancing boyfriend Justin a big kiss.

The People's Choice Awards took over the Nokia Theatre in LA yesterday with major stars from Twilight, The Vampire Diaries and Hunger Games in attendance. TV stars Lea Michele, Nina Dobrev and Neil Patrick Harris were just some of the lucky winners who took home beautiful Waterford crystal statues. Maroon 5, Chloë Moretz and Adam Sandler nabbed further honours.

Robert Pattinson debuted a new hairstyle and accepted a trophy for best dramatic film on behalf of his Water For Elephants cast. He was presented the award by friend and Twilight co-star Ashley Greene as well as Chuck's Zachary Levi. Big-screen comedy Bridesmaids got bragging rights for best comedy, though Kristen Wiig missed out on the fun in order to rehearse for this week's SNL. We were there on the red carpet and behind the scenes during the telecast to chat with attendees and winners. We all have that obnoxious relative we dread having to spend time with over the holidays.

We all have that obnoxious relative we dread having to spend time with over the holidays. For ad executive Jack Sadelstein (Adam Sandler) in Jack and Jill, that relative is twin sister Jill (again, Adam Sandler), who visits her brother every Thanksgiving. Jill looks forward to spending time with Jack and his wife Erin (played by Katie Holmes in a sweet but bland role), as well as their two children every year. But Jill is harder to get along with, as she is loud (and she travels with an even louder pet cockatiel), incredibly needy, and she takes the time to point out others' flaws. It's no wonder Jack hates spending time with her, but it begs the question: If he doesn't want to, why should we? The answer, of course, is we shouldn't.

The fact that the film's humour rests on the novelty of seeing Sandler dressed as a woman should serve as a clue to the type of lazy humour you are going to get with this movie. Throwing a wig on Sandler and hearing him speak in a high-pitched voice isn't that funny, and neither are a lot of the jokes. There are a lot (and I mean a lot) of elements of Just Go With It that don't make sense. Why is Palmer (Brooklyn Decker) completely smitten with Danny (Adam Sandler) when they seem to have no chemistry at all? Why do so many characters use fake accents? And most importantly, when did Dave Matthews become an actor? It's possible to keep yourself distracted during the length of the film simply by adding up the absurdities, but you'll have a much better time if you take a cue from the film's title and don't ask questions. Just go with it. Danny serves as the film's narrator and central focus, a plastic surgeon who was scarred by love when his fiancée broke his heart. After an accidental twist of fate, Danny learns that he can score many a one-night stand by flashing a wedding band and playing the role of abused husband. He chalks up his behaviour to protecting himself from getting hurt again, but changes his tune when he meets Palmer, a 23-year-old teacher with the body of a bikini model (literally) and a good heart. After one night on the beach, the two decide that their relationship could be something real — that is, until Palmer finds Danny's fake wedding ring and demands to meet his "soon-to-be-ex-wife." Unwilling to give up on a woman he's actually falling for, Danny turns to the only woman he trusts, his assistant Katherine (Jennifer Aniston), to play the role.
