Double Trouble: The Well-Dressed Duos of the 2013 Met Gala
The Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art never fails to bring out the big guns — after all, where else can A-list celebrities, designers, models, and fashion insiders rub elbows, in couture, in one place? For this year's Met Gala, fashion's finest converged to celebrate the "Punk: Chaos to Couture" exhibition, which will honour punk's impact on high fashion over the past three decades (and counting). As is customary for this event, celebrities and models arrive on the arms of their favourite designers, and hit the red carpet with their super-stylish significant others and fashionable friends — so we're rounding up the well-dressed duos (okay, there may be some trios thrown in there as well) from tonight's rock n' roll-inspired red carpet. Click through to see them all now. Additional reporting by Leah Melby
It's All About Statement Dresses at the Whitney Art Party
The Whitney Museum's annual Art Party in NYC always attracts the crème de la crème of the fashion world — case in point: this style set from last night's festivities. Olivia Wilde and Lake Bell coordinated in their green printed dresses, though Olivia's Max Mara number was flowy and Lake opted for something more form-fitting. Olivia added a chunky gold-and-black House of Lavande Vintage necklace, Iwona Ludyga drop earrings, and Stuart Weitzman black strappy sandals, while Lake carried a simple black clutch and wore black slingback booties. Jourdan Dunn took a different approach entirely, stepping out in a fashion-forward white Alexander Wang dress from the designer's Spring 2013 line and matching white platform pumps. All three ladies went with statement dresses, but which one gets your vote?
Accessory of the Week: Designer Pouches Under $350
Nope, that headline is not a typo — and we're not tossing the term "designer" around lightly, either. Lately, a slew of our all-time favourite labels (Proenza Schouler, Balenciaga, Kenzo, et al) have been all over versatile pouches — purses, if you like — that we can't get enough of. Rarely coming in at over 20cm in length, these petite beauties are hard workers: use it as an everyday purse, a slim-line evening clutch, a cosmetics case, you name it, it'll work. There's never been an easier way to add a bit of designer luxe to your life. Your only problem will be stopping at one! See (and shop) our top 15 picks right now.
Keep on File: The Key Winter Shoe Trends to Shop Now!
Our southern hemisphere placement affords us Aussie shoppers some benefits from being off-season to the fashion capitals of New York, London, Paris and Milan. While we're staring down the barrel of Winter, the US is happily skipping into Spring — which means that their trend forecasters are elbow-deep in 'Fall' trends for 2013. WWD recently surveyed a number of celebrity stylists to see what footwear trends they deem investment-worthy. Luckily for us, this works perfectly for our next shoe-splurge. We distilled the advice given by Phillip Bloch, Laura Solin, Sarah Ellison Lewis and Christie Maruka for your perusal. See our take home points below, then get a-clicking to shop the trends sooner rather than later. As in, today. Go on!

The Essential Wardrobe: 10 of the Best Textured Knits
Today kicks off Australian Wool Week so we're celebrating favourite way to wear this versatile natural textile with an online edit of the ten best textured knits. A big, beautifully woven woollen jumper works double time as part of any essential wardrobe; keeping your body both warm when the temperature dips but allowing you to breathe when the sun comes out. Plus, there's nothing more comforting than cuddling up on the couch in a cosy pullover. When investing, we suggest you look for natural fibres with a high wool percentage. Opt for classic weaves with substance, like large-scale cable knits, chunky basket-weaves and Aran patterns. Knit one, pearl one, buy one!
Accessory of the Week: Super Minimalist Bags
Alexander Wang kicked things off when he released his super-chic, pared-back Prisma tote. Sporting nothing more than little metal corners holding four panels of quality leather together, the tote bag was a lesson in how to do understated accessories with style. Last week, Ginger & Smart put minimalism back on the map, with their MBFWA models toting simple, structured, almost masculine clutches and shoulder bags as they hit the runway. After a few seasons of printed, quirky, misshapen styles, these clean, monochromatic bags are like a breath of fresh air. See our top 10 picks here!
The Best-Dressed Celebrities at Coachella's First Weekend
The first weekend of Coachella has come and gone, but we are still in love with all the cool outfits we spotted at the festival! Between the pool parties and the concerts, there are many moments to make a fashion statement, and celebrities like Alexa Chung, Kate Bosworth, and Solange Knowles definitely made good use of their time in the desert. Katy Perry went playful in a printed outfit by Dolce & Gabbana, while Alexa went for an LBD to DJ the Lacoste Live party. Diane Kruger —who was joined by Joshua Jackson and designer Jason Wu — styled up a head-to-toe H&M outfit at the first ever H&M Loves Music party at the Merv Griffin Estate. We also spotted Alexander Wang at the Saguaro Desert Weekender presented by Swatch and Revolve Clothing and at the famed A/X Armani Exchange Neon Carnival. For the full fashion recap, watch today's Fashion Flash, and don't forget to check out all of our Coachella coverage!
The Style Files: Breaking Down My Mixmaster Look
Describing your personal style in one word is tricky, but when push comes to shove I guess you could say I'm a mixmaster. Being a fashion editor, I'm exposed to new trends on a daily basis. The result? I'm known to give even the wackiest, flash-in-the-pan trend a go, but will always balance the look with separates from the opposite end of the style spectrum. Girly lace shifts, vintage printed band tees, tailored blazers and high-fashion heels all have a place in my wardrobe! Just like PANDORA's latest collection, there's a little something for everyone. Ready to pick apart my personal style file? It's ready and waiting . . .
