This week, we've been privy to a whole host of interesting topics as celebrities like Larry Emdur, Katy Perry, Jaime King, Alexa Chung, Lena Dunham, Taylor Swift, Dave Hughes and many more took to Twitter to express their thoughts. Larry was kicked out of the bathroom for a certain star at The Great Gatsby premiere in Sydney, while Katy Perry had a bit of fun with friend Taylor Swift's song lyrics. And how do we know that Katy and Taylor are still close? Taylor tweeted a message directly at Katy that was too lovely not to share. And it's a relief to see that no one, not even model and TV host Alexa Chung, is immune from slow download times. There's plenty to read in here — click through now for your fill of first-hand celebrity news and views.
The 2013 Billboard Music Awards red carpet is heating up, with Selena Gomez leading the pack. The singer was one of the first to arrive — and she did so in an eye-catching neon-edged Atelier Versace gown from the label's Spring '13 collection. Also in the mix? Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Chloë Moretz, Hayden Panettiere, and a very sexy Jennifer Morrison. Of course, this is just the beginning. Be sure to check back often for more red-carpet updates; for now, click through to see who wore what at the Billboard Music Awards.
Stars came out to support the LA Kings in their match-up against the Detroit Red Wings at the Staples Center last night. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard cuddled up in the stands and showed PDA with a kiss. The couple also chatted with friends, including Kristen's former Veronica Mars co-stars Enrico Colantoni and Max Greenfield, who was at the game with a few buddies. Steven Tyler and Alyssa Milano were also in the crowd to watch the win.
Kristen and Dax stepped out for the date night after an exciting weekend. Kristen had a baby shower in Los Feliz, which was attended by Rachel Bilson and her House of Lies co-stars Ben Schwartz and Josh Lawson. She covered her bump in a floral Isabella Oliver gown for the occasion, but on Monday she was all about showing off her growing belly. Kristen flashed her stomach during an outing with girlfriends and smiled as her pal snapped a picture.
Hilary Swank and Emmy Rossum got a head start on the Oscar celebrations when they attended Mont Blanc and UNICEF's 2nd annual pre-Oscars brunch in LA yesterday. They were joined by Alyssa Milano, who wore a Dolce & Gabbana dress, and Les Misérables actress Samantha Barks, who kept things simple in a cling navy dress. Samantha's cast will also be on hand to cheer on their co-stars who are up for awards, including Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman — check out the Les Misérables cast's road to the Oscars!
Josh Hartnett got in on the pre-Oscars parties when he dropped by the Vanity Fair and Fiat party benefiting the United Nations International Labour Organisation in LA last night. The star-studded event, which was hosted by Ron Howard and composer Hans Zimmer, also included Lake Bell, Alyssa Milano, and Adrien Brody as guests. Josh had a busy evening, as he also visited the Hollywood Domino and Bovet 1822 event in West Hollywood.
Alyssa — who wore Gucci to last night's event — will likely have a lot more Academy Awards-related events to attend this weekend, since her husband, David Bugliari, reps Bradley Cooper, who is nominated for best actor. Bradley has had a lot of events on his plate this week, including Wednesday night's Vanity Fair dinner for Silver Linings Playbook, which he attended alongside co-star Jennifer Lawrence and director David O. Russell. Don't forget to join us here for our live coverage of the Oscars on Monday morning!
David Beckham brought his sons, Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn, to watch as ice hockey team the LA Kings defeated the New Jersey Devils in game six of the NFL finals to win the Stanley Cup on Monday night. The four Beckhams hooted and hollered in the stands each time the Kings scored a goal, and in between all the action, snacked on nachos. David has become a regular in the stands at the Staples Center, having cheered on the team all season. He's in good company when it comes to supporting the hometown hockey squad. Will Arnett, Alyssa Milano, Zac Efron and Ellen Page all turned out as well. Zac Efron had rink-side seats to witness the historic victory, as it's the first time in the Kings' 45-year existence that they've clinched hockey's top honour. It was a night with the guys for Zac, who officially split from Lily Collins recently. Will is a Canadian by birth, but clearly is a hockey fan no matter where he lives.
Ice hockey team the LA Kings had plenty of famous faces in the stands to cheer them on to their win against the New Jersey Devils at the Staples Center on Monday night. David Beckham brought his boys, Brooklyn and Romeo, to watch the third game in the Stanley Cup Finals, while Will Ferrell checked out the match with son, Magnus. Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson cuddled up in the crowd after returning to the West Coast from France last week. They spent the afternoon shopping on Abbot Kinney before switching gears to sports. Also on hand for the big game were Alyssa Milano and her husband David Bugliari, David Boreanaz, Colin Hanks, LL Cool J and Ellen Page.
The Hollywood premiere of New Year’s Eve, the latest ensemble film from director Garry Marshall, took place in LA today, and lots of the stars hit the black carpet at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre to celebrate its debut. Lea Michele, in a sexy, plunging Valentino dress, seemed to have a great time with her onscreen love interest Ashton Kutcher, and she also had the support of some of her Glee guys, such as Cory Monteith and Darren Criss. Katherine Heigl and Sofia Vergara matched in their black, strapless dresses, while Hilary Swank, Fergie and Abigail Breslin opted for sparkly creations. Zac Efron and Michelle Pfeiffer stuck together for some shots, and have been doing lots of their press together. Other stars in the movie include Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel and Ryan Seacrest.
