After last night's White House Correspondents Dinner, Vanity Fair hosted their annual post-party with editor-in-chief Graydon Carter greeting their many celebrity guests. Nicole Kidman mingled with other actors including Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, and Nashville's leading ladies Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere. The Vanity Fair bash, co-hosted by Bloomberg, also brought out celebrity couples — Jason Sudeikis stuck close to fiancée Olivia Wilde, Sofia Vergara mingled with her own spouse-to-be Nick Loeb, and Bradley Cooper brought his young model love, Suki Waterhouse. Jason made sure to say hi to his fellow SNL buddies from the past and present, including Fred Armisen and Amy Poehler. Sofia, meanwhile, hung out with pal Katy Perry.

Today's White House Correspondents' Dinner gathered celebrities from New York and LA to Washington, DC. There were plenty of ladies decked out in the red carpet finest, including Katy Perry in Giambattista Valli, Kerry Washington in Wes Gordon, Kate Mara in white Prada and more. Amy Poehler also went for white, choosing a dress from Basler. Nashville's Connie Britton wore a bright blue Temperley London number, while her co-star Hayden Panettiere picked a yellow Katharine Kidd gown. Colour was a popular choice, as Veep's Julia Louis-Dreyfus picked purple. Claire Danes went with baby blue to hit the dinner with her husband Hugh Dancy.

Plenty of guys turned out too — Modern Family's Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet, Matthew Perry, and Scandal's Tony Goldwyn were among those who stepped out to hear jokes from emcee Conan O'Brien.

The Independent Spirit Awards rolled into Santa Monica today, bringing a host of famous faces with them. Once the Spirit Awards red carpet wrapped, the stars headed inside for the show, where they mingled in between announcements. Bradley Cooper congratulated Matthew McConaughey on his win for Magic Mike while Jennifer Lawrence celebrated her best female lead statue for Silver Linings Playbook with Jeremy Renner. Stars have already started arriving to today's 2013 Independent Spirit Awards in LA. Best male lead nominee Bradley Cooper mingled on the red carpet while Brittany Snow and a David Meister-wearing Amy Poehler, who is scheduled to present, posed for pictures. Host Andy Samberg chose a green tux for the occasion and brought his girlfriend Joanna Newsom for support. Django Unchained's Kerry Washington was also on-hand for the big event, which takes place the day before the Oscars. Stars are already getting the Oscars party started with Miranda Kerr, Camila Alves, and more stepping out for a QVC bash last night.

Hollywood's most stylish celebrities turned out for the Costume Designers Guild Awards last night in LA. Anne Hathaway wore a shimmering Gucci frock when she accepted her spotlight award, an honour given to actors and directors for their collaborations with costume designers. Skyfall, Anna Karenina and Mirror Mirror all won awards in the film categories while Downton Abbey and Smash dominated the TV sections.

Other celebrity attendees included Anne's co-star Russell Crowe, Once Upon a Time stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas, Amy Poehler, Jon Hamm and Lily Collins, who wore a dramatic black gown with a giant white bow on her back. It was a mini Saturday Night Live reunion behind the scenes when Amy hung out with Kristen Wiig, Steve Martin and Maya Rudolph, with whom she presented an award during the show. The CDG Awards are just one of the many events that lead up to the Oscars, which air in Australia on Monday, Feb. 25.

Jessica Chastain showed her support for Hollywood writers at the Writers Guild of America Awards in LA last night, while Lena Dunham snagged an award at the WGA's ceremony in NYC. The WGA Awards take place on both coasts — at the JW Marriott in LA and the B.B. King Blues Club in NYC — and each event was full of big winners.

Lena and her Girls writing team walked away with best new TV series, while Jessica's film Zero Dark Thirty won best original screenplay for Mark Boal. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck's Argo continued its awards season sweep by picking up best adapted screenplay for writer Chris Terrio. Other big winners for the night included Fred Armisen, who won the best comedy/variety series award for Portlandia, and the writers of Breaking Bad and Louie, who won best drama series and best comedy series, respectively.
