The trailer for Hitchcock looks like it's going to prove that some of the most fascinating movies are the ones about the movie business. Anthony Hopkins plays legendary director Alfred Hitchcock in this drama, which focuses on the time in his life when he was making the film Psycho, as well as his relationship with his wife, Alma Reville (Helen Mirren). As a Hitchcock fan, it's exciting to watch the iconic horror film going through production (which includes a wigged-up Scarlett Johansson as starlet Janet Leigh), though I had no idea that the director had encountered such opposition when he was making Psycho. It's fun watching the drama unfold — and witnessing the sometimes funny dynamic between Hitchcock and his wife.

Hopkins does an impressive rendering of Hitchcock in this preview, but really, everything presented here looks fantastic. There's a great cast (Toni Collette and Jessica Biel also star), a bit of Psycho's signature creepiness (poor Johansson looks like she's genuinely being tortured in the infamous shower scene), and a taste of the tense score by Danny Elfman. Hitchcock comes out Jan. 10, 2013, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Chris Hemsworth has embarked on what will be a whirlwind promotional tour for his new blockbuster Thor. After gracing the cover of GQ this month and talking about the pressure on the movie to satisfy fans of the original Marvel comic, he’s also landed on the front of The Hollywood Reporter with director Kenneth Branagh and co-star Anthony Hopkins. Kenneth talks about how Chris scored the leading role (other candidates included his brother, Liam), saying, “We pretty much knew as we were shooting the test that he was the guy. It seemed, across these meetings, he had grown into it. He understood it better. And crucially, he was at ease.” As part of his work promoting what the magazine has dubbed “Marvel’s $150 Million Gamble,” Chris attended a photo call in Munich yesterday, and will soon jet into Sydney with Kenneth and co-stars Tom Hiddleston and Jaimie Alexander for the film’s world premiere on Sunday.

Good news, ladies! Liam Hemsworth is back on the market! The 20-year-old Aussie has called it quits with his 17-year-old teen queen girlfriend Miley Cyrus. The couple began dating after they met on the set of The Last Song in 2009. It seems like Liam is the one who is leading the charge. A friend of Liam’s confirms the couple split “pretty recently” and says Liam completely “single,” while Miley’s rep had no comment. Liam is currently filming Arabian Nights with Anthony Hopkins and somehow we don’t think he’ll have any trouble finding girls who want to console him after the split.

Emily Blunt looked stunning in a one shouldered black dress as she stepped out at the premiere of The Wolfman in Hollywood last night. She posed with her costars Benicio Del Toro and a very beardy Anthony Hopkins on the red carpet, sharing a joke and laughing with the pair. Her fiance John Krasinski also joined Emily on the red carpet to support her, looking very handsome in his suit as he let her take centre stage. Adorable!
