The bad boys of The Expendables are back in the trailer for the sequel, and this time they have a hot, new secret weapon: Liam Hemsworth. Given that the original film features action stars of many decades (including Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham and Chuck Norris), it seems fitting that they've made room for the Hunger Games star as their latest edition (fun fact: Hemsworth was originally cast in the first film, but his part was cut). In The Expendables 2, Hemsworth joins the gang as a sniper named Billy the Kid as they face down a villain played by Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Don't try to follow too much of the story in the trailer, though; it's mostly a mélange of shoot-'em-up sequences, fistfights and explosions. It's not that it's not fun, however, and it's definitely worth the watch to see Hemsworth in action star mode. The movie comes out on Aug. 30, and you can check out the trailer when you keep reading.

Mildred Baena, the housekeeper who had Arnold Schwarzenegger's love child, has broken her silence by granting a photo shoot and interview with Hello! magazine. In the magazine she poses with her 13-year-old son and says he's looking forward to building a relationship with his biological father. But based on an excerpt from the piece, she doesn't reflect much on her own actions, instead recounting how Maria Shriver reacted to the news.

"She would say things like, 'I’m here if you need to talk.' I sensed something was up. I have so much love and respect for Maria. Finally, she asked point-blank. She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other, and I told her it wasn’t Arnie’s fault, that it takes two."

If Maria felt any solidarity with Mildred, I wonder how she feels now that Mildred has given an interview about such a difficult personal moment. Do you think Mildred was right to tell her side of the story, or should she have stayed quiet out of respect for Maria?

Prior to the announcement that he was separating from his wife, Maria Shriver, and this week’s shocking news that he fathered a child with a former member of household staff more than ten years ago, Arnold Schwarzenegger was planning a Hollywood comeback. After finishing up as the Governor of California, Arnold had a few projects in the works, but a rep has said in a statement, “Governor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines. This includes Cry Macho, the Terminator franchise and other projects under consideration. We will resume discussions when Governor Schwarzenegger decides.”

New updates have emerged about why Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver announced their separation last week: Arnold has admitted that he fathered a child 10 years ago with a member of household staff who worked for the family for 20 years and retired in January. Arnold said in a statement to the LA Times:

After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologised to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry. I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time. While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not.

Maria moved out of the family’s Brentwood home earlier this year after Arnold confirmed that he was the father. Maria has since said, “This is a painful and heartbreaking time. As a mother, my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. Arnold Schwarzenegger and wife Maria Shriver have announced their separation after 25 years of marriage. The couple are living separately after Maria moved out of their Brentwood mansion a few weeks ago. They released a joint statement to the LA Times, saying:

This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship. We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the centre of both of our lives. We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public.

We wish them and their family the best for the future.

Yesterday we were discussing the holiday movies that make us feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but now let's examine the flip side. I've said it before and I'll say it again: not every Christmas or Hanukkah movie is an instant classic, and yet somehow that doesn't keep networks from airing almost all of them each year. There are at least a handful of holiday movies that I just can't bring myself to watch.

Take for example Jingle All the Way, which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad on a quest to score the most popular toy of the year for their sons. Everything about this movie bugs me, but it's definitely not the only irritating film of its genre. Your turn to spill: which holiday movies get under your skin?

The Hollywood Awards were a star studded affair last night, with lots of celebs walking the red carpet and being honoured at the ceremony. Carey Mulligan is back in the US after her time at the London Film Festival and took time out from filming Drive to join Andrew Garfield on stage, looking gorgeous in a red dress. Andrew, Rashida Jones and their The Social Network co-stars won best ensemble award, while Leighton Meester wore a pale blue dress to pick up the spotlight award. Mila Kunis has been promoting Black Swan at the LFF with co-star Vincent Cassel, but is back in LA now and looked hot at last night's awards in her LBD. Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger presented Sylvester Stallone's career achievement award, and had fun in the press room afterwards. James Franco was suited up for the ceremony, while Justin Timberlake left early to support Jessica Biel at the Glamour Reel Moments event.
