Associate Editor Gen's Week In Pictures: See A Week In The Life Of A Sugar Editor

Not sure what an associate editor at Sugar does? Let me fill you in. I work across all three Sugar sites from Thursday through to Sunday every week. Yep, I work weekends, and I love it! On Thursdays and Fridays, I'm in the office at Circular Quay, helping PopSugar's Jess, FabSugar's Ali and BellaSugar's Alison with whatever I can. Saturday and Sunday, I'm at home and it's all me on the sites. And then it's the weekend! Having Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays off is such a novelty after working Monday-Friday, 9-5 for years prior to being at Sugar. Three days off is ample time for me to do all the leisurely things I love — and trust me, I love being leisurely.
I'm mad about photography, so no matter where I am or who I'm with I always have my Nokia Lumia 900 with me (the camera quality is insanely good), and I'm always scoping out a photo opportunity. When I'm not working, you can usually find me relaxing on a beach somewhere, playing with our new puppy at home or hanging with my boyfriend, friends and family, all of whom I'm obsessed with. I love nothing more than getting away from the craziness of the Sydney CBD, so any opportunity to be somewhere natural and peaceful, I'll take it! I'm extremely lucky to have a nice balance between hectic and kinda glamorous (work) and relaxed and casual (home and social) — but I'm not sure which I prefer! Don't let me do all the talking. . .
