Sometimes when a director and actor meet, it's a match made in movie heaven — so why wouldn't they team up again? Pairings like Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have held on to partnerships for years, creating scores of wonderful films. These are the relationships I want to celebrate: that particular kinship between a filmmaker and a muse. Take a look through to see some of my all-time favourite duos.
Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake travelled to Illinois for the Ryder Cup Captains & Celebrity Scramble at Medinah Country Club on Tuesday. Justin, who is a Ryder Cup US ambassador, was teamed with Bill Murray and golfers Lee Trevino and Dave Stockton to play against other groups that included Olympian Michael Phelps, George Lopez and Scottie Pippen. Jessica watched the action from the crowd, though Justin's team lost to the foursome that included Michael, George, and retired professional golfers Hal Sutton and Lanny Wadkins.
Justin and Jessica were back together after Justin celebrated his bachelor party over the weekend. He and 25 friends kicked the bash off in Las Vegas last week and then continued on to Mexico, where they stayed at the El Dorado Golf & Beach Club. Recent rumours suggest that Jessica and Justin plan to tie the knot at Francis Ford Coppola's Palazzo Margherita in Italy, but we'll have to wait until the two actually make things official to see.
It’s getting down to the nitty gritty on Australia’s Next Top Model and the girls were sent to Tokyo to test how they would fare in a foreign environment. Let’s take a look at the highlights from their Lost in Translation adventure.
Bon Voyage: Luckily the girls actually knew that Tokyo was in Japan. After landing they had to do a shoot with a photographer who didn’t speak English. I kept waiting for Bill Murray to appear with a glass of whisky and say, “For relaxing times, make it Suntory times...”
Harajuku Girls: The contestants appeared on a TV show called Kawaii and were dressed in funky Japanese street style with themes like naughty school girl, fairy and babies. They were each assigned a fashion mentor and looked suitably ridiculous. But props to them for being good sports. Gwen Stefani would have been proud.

With the first red carpet out of the way, it's now time to start the screenings at this year's Sundance. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be sharing my thoughts about the many movies on offer, giving you guys a preview of the films that may go on to be the blockbusters (or bombs!) of the future. First on the list is Get Low.
- Who's behind it? Directed by Aaron Schneider, the film stars Bill Murray, Robert Duvall, Lucas Black and Sissy Spacek.
- What's it about? Felix Bush has been living in an isolated cabin in the woods of Tennessee for 40 years. Blocking out the 1930s society around him, his only interactions are with the boys who dare trespass on his territory, hoping for a glimpse of a local legend. The stories of Felix's eccentricities grow right along with his long white beard, and the hermit adds fuel to the fire when he makes an appearance in town. Felix asks a local funeral director to arrange a "funeral party" for him as a means to gather all the locals to share their respective stories about him. Here's the twist: Felix wants to schedule the party before he dies so that he can actually attend.
George Clooney brought Elisabetta out for the premiere of The Fantastic Mr. Fox at the opening gala of the BFI Film Festival in London today. The two were joined by good friend Cindy Crawford as well as George's costar Jason Schwartzman. At this morning's press conference, George joked about playing the father fox on-screen, even saying he's looking to have some kids of his own. He said, "I'm going to adopt some of Brad Pitt's kids. I owe him a few," and talked about how much fun they had making the movie, "It was like going to camp. We were out in the middle of nowhere on people's farms, doing sound effects and rolling around in the fields." George still knows how to deflect questions about his love life and settling down, but it seems like Elisabetta is becoming a staple red carpet date as he moves his way through three movie's worth of promotion before December.read more
