Celebs Get Behind Toms Shoes' One Day Without Shoes
A pair of shoes. For some people it makes their whole outfit, while for others it’s just about protecting your feet. But what do shoes mean to kids who have never owned a pair in their life? This is where Toms Shoes come in. The brainchild of Blake Mycoskie, whenever a pair of Toms Shoes is purchased another pair is given to a child in need. An annual event has also been set up — One Day Without Shoes — to raise awareness about the difference a pair of shoes can make to a child’s health and future. Celebrities such as Olivia Wilde, Kristen Bell, Brittany Snow, Demi Moore, the Jonas Brothers and Heather Graham have gotten behind the cause and in Australia events were set up in some states. Even if you’ve sort of missed the boat on One Day Without Shoes (it takes place today, which is technically tomorrow in the US) you can still purchase a pair of Toms Shoes if you want to contribute.
