Chace Crawford checked out the Knicks game at Madison Square Garden with a female friend on Friday night. The NY team took home the win against the Charlotte Bobcats, but it doesn't look like Chace spent much time watching the game. Instead he cuddled up to model Rachelle Goulding, and the duo smiled and laughed in their courtside seats.

Aside from stepping out at the Weinstein Company's pre-Oscars party weeks ago, Chace has been lying low since wrapping the final season of Gossip Girl last year. He did make news in February for voicing his interest in playing Christian Grey, though no actor has been confirmed for the lead role in the big-screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

It’s the second time this year that the Gossip Girl star has been in Australia — in April he made the trip for a quick promotional visit as the face of Diet Coke, and at the time he posed for photos with hundreds of fans at a special booth in Martin Place. This time Chace is spending a few more days in the city in the lead-up to Marquee’s big New Year’s Eve celebrations on Monday night, where he’ll be a VIP guest. He’ll also be joined by Glee’s Matthew Morrison and Teen Wolf’s Colton Haynes, who also arrived yesterday.

American TV heartthrob Chace Crawford is returning to Australia for the second time this year to celebrate New Year’s Eve! The Gossip Girl star, who wrapped six seasons with his cast on TV last week, will be joined by his good friend Matthew Morrison from Glee when he rings in 2013 at Marquee Sydney on Monday. Teen Wolf actor Colton Haynes will also make an appearance at the party — he arrived this morning — while Samantha Ronson will be spinning tunes for guests including the Tao Group’s Noah Tepperberg and Jason Strauss, the co-owners and co-founders of Marquee. General admission tickets for the party are still available and can be bought here.

When Gossip Girl returns, it will be for its sixth and final season, and the new trailer for it emphasises that. It's actually kind of a nostalgic trip down memory lane, with clips from the first season (weren't those the days?). It's not just old footage though — toward the end, you get a little bit of a glimpse of season six, including Serena's new love interest, played by Barry Watson. We also see them at someone's surprise wedding (any guesses?), and it seems like Chuck and Blair are giving their relationship another shot (yet again . . . ).

I do wish this trailer were a bit more exciting, but I am curious to see who's tying the knot and I'm hoping that, since it's the last season and all, Blair and Chuck will finally be able to be happy together. Get your first look at the next season of Gossip Girl after the jump.
