Girl Most Likely Trailer: Kristen Wiig Recovers With Mum Annette Bening

It's been two years since Kristen Wiig killed it in Bridesmaids, and I've been anxious to see her headline another comedy.

It's been two years since Kristen Wiig killed it in Bridesmaids, and I've been anxious to see her headline another comedy. In the trailer for her latest movie, Girl Most Likely, she's certainly funny in the role of Imogene, though the laughs may come from a darker place. Her playwright character is trying to deal with career failure, and when she lands in the hospital after a meltdown, she has to go live with her self-involved mother (Annette Bening) at her Jersey Shore home. There, she's exposed to her mum's sleazy boyfriend (Matt Dillon) and the cute young guy (Darren Criss) who's renting a room in the house.

Though it looks like Wiig gets to do a little physical comedy, she seems to be playing more of a straight man while Bening gets to be a bit more outrageous. Even so, Wiig acting morose is still really funny, and I especially enjoyed her interactions with Dillon and Criss in the trailer.Watch the trailer after the jump.

The Bling Ring Trailer: Emma Watson Wants to Rob Hollywood

The first footage of The Bling Ring featured a seductively dancing Emma Watson, and now the full trailer introduces us to her character, Nicki.

The first footage of The Bling Ring featured a seductively dancing Emma Watson, and now the full trailer introduces us to her character, Nicki. Nicki and her friends (including American Horror Story's Taissa Farmiga) are pretty obsessed with the scene of young Hollywood, but rubbing elbows with them at LA clubs and dressing like them isn't enough. With the help of gossip blogs and Google, the kids start breaking into the homes of celebrities like Paris Hilton to steal their pricey clothes and accessories. Their new lifestyle catches up with them soon enough, and the titular bling ring has to face the law.

I love Emma Watson, but it's weird seeing her play someone so morally loose and shallow (then again, it's always weird seeing her play someone who's not Hermione). However, I do like that the movie (which is based on real events from just a few years ago) looks kind of satirical and funny, especially since director Sofia Coppola's work is usually so moody. The Bling Ring opens is scheduled for an August release, and you can check out the trailer after the jump.

The Internship Trailer: Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson Go to Google

If you own Wedding Crashers on DVD and still watch it a couple times per year, you'll probably be very excited about the trailer for The Internship, which reunites the irresistible duo of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn.

If you own Wedding Crashers on DVD and still watch it a couple times per year, you'll probably be very excited about the trailer for The Internship, which reunites the irresistible duo of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn. After their company goes under, their characters try to get jobs at Google, only with today's economy, they have to start at the bottom: the intern pool. There, they face humourless supervisors and a competitive group of sabotaging peers. Yes, the kind of peers that trick them into looking tor a wheelchair-bound man named Professor Xavier.

We've seen the banter between Wilson and Vaughn before, but I'm willing to roll with it to witness their chemistry again. I'm also excited about the supporting cast of Rose Byrne, John Goodman, Josh Gad and B.J. Novak; even Will Ferrell is billed for an appearance. Come on, how could you say no to those faces? The movie opens June 13, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

Leslie Mann

This Is 40: Comedy at Its Most Painful

This Is 40, Judd Apatow's latest directorial effort, warns audiences about the dangers of blinking, meaning if you close your eyes you risk waking up decades later, wondering how you got to be so darn old.

This Is 40, Judd Apatow's latest directorial effort, warns audiences about the dangers of blinking, meaning if you close your eyes you risk waking up decades later, wondering how you got to be so darn old. In a more literal sense, I did blink while watching the film. In fact, I full-on closed my eyes at the sight of Paul Rudd spread eagle with nothing but a strategically place hand mirror covering his man parts; I cringed while Pete (Rudd) and his wife, Debbie (Leslie Mann), screamed at each other for the umpteenth time; I yawned, I scoffed, but as with most of Apatow's projects, I also laughed and related to the conflicted characters.

This movie is billed as the "sort-of sequel" to Knocked Up, but it's more like a spin-off, centring completely on Pete and Debbie's clan five years later. The kids (played by Apatow and Mann's real-life children, Maude and Iris Apatow), are growing up and acting out — if watching unhealthy amounts of Lost qualifies as acting out — and the whole family is hitting a palpable rough patch. The film's unflinching honesty about shifting family dynamics is one of its strengths, but it's also undoubtedly uncomfortable to watch as resentment curdles and touches every aspect of the characters' lives. 21 & Over Trailer: A New Generation Parties Hard and Gets Down

Take The Hangover, mix in one part Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle and one part Superbad, and you've got the trailer for 21 & Over.

Take The Hangover, mix in one part Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle and one part Superbad, and you've got the trailer for 21 & Over. Miles Teller (Footloose) and Skylar Astin star as old high school buddies intent on getting their fellow best friend (Twilight's Justin Chon) drunk on the night of his 21st birthday. Though he's initially resistant because his intimidating father reminds him of an important exam the next day, he eventually gives in and winds up dancing in women's underwear on top of a car. You know, the usual hijinks.

Does the world need another one-crazy-night movie? Maybe not. But did this trailer make me laugh out loud? Sure did. I'm not a fan of slow-motion vomit, but the "getting down on top of the car" part is hilarious. It should come as no surprise that 21 & Over comes from the writers of The Hangover, so we might be in able hands. Also, Astin is really cute in Pitch Perfect, and I'm excited to see him get some more screen time. The movie opens on March 7, and you can see the trailer after the jump.

Tina Fey

Admission Trailer: Paul Rudd Finds Tina Fey's Long-Lost Son

You know how you love Tina Fey, and you also love Paul Rudd?

You know how you love Tina Fey, and you also love Paul Rudd? What if someone were to magically put them together on the screen for your viewing pleasure? Guess what — someone did! The trailer for Admission has Fey as Portia, an admissions administrator at Princeton in line for a promotion. One day, she gets a call from John (Rudd) asking her to come on a recruiting trip to check out some of his students. Little does she know, it's a ploy to get her to meet Jeremiah (Nat Wolff), who John believes may be the son Portia gave up in college. Twist!

Though the trailer for Admission provides plenty of jokes, there's an underlying seriousness that we don't always see from these actors. I love Fey, but we've seen her play the driven single female character into the ground. It's refreshing to see that there's more to Portia than a determination to rewrite the rules for middle-aged women. Watch the trailer after the jump.

Rebecca Gibney and P.J. Hogan Talk Mental Inspiration, Toni Collette, and Working With Kids

A few weeks ago, media and special guests were invited to a Sydney preview screening of the new Australian film Mental. P.J. Hogan, who wrote and directed the dark comedy, was on hand to introduce the picture, asking the audience to watch with an “open mind.” Following the screening, P.J. and stars Rebecca Gibney, Deborah Mailman and Sam Clark stayed back for a Q&A session, where P.J. revealed most of the film was based on his experiences growing up, and that central character Shaz, portrayed by Toni Collette, was/is a real person. (Anthony LaPaglia and Liev Schreiber also star.) A few days later I sat down with P.J. and Rebecca for a cosy chat to find out more about the film, including what it was like for P.J. to reunite with Toni, his Muriel’s Wedding leading lady, how Rebecca felt about gaining weight for her role, and how they struck a balance between comedy and darkness. The Sapphires: Shines as Brightly as Its Name

After watching a string of blockbuster releases in recent months, The Sapphires, the Australian film that wowed critics at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and earned a 10-minute standing ovation, is a breath of fresh air.

After watching a string of blockbuster releases in recent months, The Sapphires, the Australian film that wowed critics at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival and earned a 10-minute standing ovation, is a breath of fresh air. Combining music, comedy, history and a touch of drama, The Sapphires delivers 103 minutes of feel-good entertainment, backed by a soul soundtrack that will have you wanting to dance in your seat.

Loosely based on a true story, The Sapphires is about three indigenous Australian sisters (Deborah Mailman, Miranda Tapsell and Jessica Mauboy) who are discovered at a talent contest held at their local pub by a soul-loving Irishman, Dave Lovelace (Chris O’Dowd). Dave thinks they’ve got the musical chops to be the Australian version of The Supremes, and using his connections he takes them and their cousin (Shari Sebbens) to perform for troops in South Vietnam in 1968. What ensues is a singing tour that involves high-risk situations, romantic dramas, and relationship issues within the group.

Bachelorette Trailer: Kirsten Dunst Throws a Party to Remember

What happens to mean girls when they grow up?

What happens to mean girls when they grow up? Ask Bachelorette's Regan (Kirsten Dunst), Katie (Isla Fisher) and Gena (Lizzy Caplan), a longtime group of friends who are instantly embittered when they find out their fourth wheel, Becky (Rebel Wilson), has gotten engaged. Though it's clear that Regan is overcome with jealousy, she pledges to throw Becky a smashing bachelorette party. Unfortunately, the girls become more focused on recapturing their glory days than showing Becky a good time.

There are so many things I love about this trailer. First of all, Kirsten Dunst's face when Becky tells her she's gotten engaged is priceless. Second, I've never seen Rebel Wilson in a role that I didn't enjoy and though it looks like she's playing a bit of a straighter character than she did in last year's Bridesmaids, I'm still looking forward to watching her. And third, Lizzy Caplan and Adam Scott together again? Can you say Party Down reunion? Watch the trailer after the jump.

Watch Ron Burgundy and the Boys in Two Anchorman 2 Teasers!

It's been eight long years since the original, but Anchorman 2 is so on, you guys.

It's been eight long years since the original, but Anchorman 2 is so on, you guys. The movie is finally coming out in 2013, but two short teasers are here — and as brief as they are, they're both pretty funny. Will Ferrell's legendary Ron Burgundy is back on deck with his fellow news anchors, Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), Champ Kind (David Koechner) and Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), and as usual, Brick needs help coming up with anything to say in both of the clips.

Like I said, they're short, and we also have no idea what the plot will be, but I dare you not to get excited that Anchorman 2 is a reality. Watch the teasers and let me know what you think after the jump.
