2013 Met Gala: Elle and Dakota Fanning Double Up on the Rodarte

The Met Gala was a family affair for one of the night's more adorable duos.

The Met Gala was a family affair for one of the night's more adorable duos. Sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning teamed up with fellow siblings Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the designers behind Rodarte, for their red carpet ensembles. While big sister Dakota went for a more sophisticated gown with a plunging neckline and sheer cut-out midriff, the 15-year-old Elle opted to play with tie-dye in red, blue, and white silk. Despite similar silhouettes, the outfits weren't overly coordinated — and they both put their own spin on the night's punk theme. So, do you love the Fannings' looks?

The Sundance Film Festival shows no signs of slowing on the style front, as celebrities continue to flock to Park City, Utah, to showcase their latest projects. With the freezing-cold temperatures in mind, celebs have skipped their usual dress routines for something a little more covered up — but just as cool. Co-stars Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen induced major coat envy working different, but equally chic toppers, while trendsetters like Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth, and Naomi Watts showcased note-worthy looks of their own. As for the rest, it was a perfect mix of cable-knit staples, vintage-inspired denim, and cool-girl boots — in short, pieces that prove that bundling up doesn't have to mean covering up great style. Jake Gyllenhaal stepped out to support mum Naomi Foner, the screenwriter behind Very Good Girls, at the film's Sundance Film Festival premiere yesterday. He was joined by brother-in-law Peter Sarsgaard, who's married to Maggie Gyllenhaal and also stars in the picture. It was an extra busy night for Peter, since he also debuted Lovelace with Amanda Seyfried. Very Good Girls leading lady Dakota Fanning attended the screening at the Eccles Center theater and later on linked up with her and Peter's co-star Elizabeth Olsen at an after party. Jake made the rounds with his pal Jenny Lewis. He looked good while doing so — Jake has a new look, with slicked-back hair, for a new project. He's been in Georgia making Prisoners with Hugh Jackman.
