Do You Believe the Ellen DeGeneres Diva Demands and Trouble on American Idol Rumours?

Ellen DeGeneres is apparently doing good things for American Idol's ratings this season, but there are already rumours of trouble behind the scenes. This week's top 12 men and top 12 women performances didn't exactly blow us out of the water, either. Now, there are stories that Ellen is feuding with Simon Cowell and InTouch Weekly claims that her backstage list of "diva demands" is getting out of control. According to the magazine, Ellen requested a Mercedes as a signing bonus and insisted girlfriend Portia de Rossi be a guest judge among other things. Ellen has a great reputation, but there's always lots of drama at American Idol. So tell us, do you believe the rumours of diva behavior and trouble from Ellen on AI?

LOVE ED...but come on...she has perks. She had demands put into her contracts. This is Hollywood, peeps.

Love her to death-her stand up, that is (never really had to opportunity to watch much of her talk show and I HATE Idol...sorry Idol fans ;] ), but this isn't the first time Ive read about her possibly having a bitchy side...which sucks.

And I agree with #14... I stopped watching Ellen's show when she was thrilled to death with her blindfold find the stool 'game'. Constantly humiliating people...with constant replay on other episodes. And I'll for homosexual rights and tolerance but sometimes she tries to attack people for not just loving homosexuals to death. All of 'em? lol Does that include heterosexuals also. We have to love every single person or we offend their sexuality? Got sick of it...stopped watching.

I stopped watchin 3 years ago. Just reading this...doesn't sound like anyone's laughing. I feel sorry for the kids being put through the fiasco.

american idol needed someone to liven up that show, she provides humor which is exactly what it needed! instead of laughing at paula's craziness now we can actually laugh with someone.

i don't get it...i don't find her funny at all...her jokes are horrible.. second of all did u notice that she gets a real kick out of humiliating people on her show, or scaring them to death....it's like she finds that very amusing...and she always has that vacant look in her eyes when she's interviewing people...but all in all i just don't think she's funny.... at all.

Some if it is probably true, but I doubt all of it is true. Simon's way too mean now. It's not even funny. I like cruel humor but I haven't laughed once. Ellen's not funny either. The show is dry. In fact, Ellen is probably so bored that she demands a pay raise. Even I want some incentive for watching it last night.

Like Ellen on "Ellen", not some much on Idol, go back to your home and stay there. Simon needs to get over himself and quickly, he is such an @$$ anymore, go away, soon!

You know she and Ryan Seacrest are good friends right= How long have they bickered? My best guess is that since Paula's not there this is the only 'audience draw' they had left.

I love Ellen but she's not right for AI. I don't believe she's making these demands, but I do believe some of the rumors that there's some friction between her and Simon. I think Simon is over the show. He seems extra cranky so far and his body language speaks volumes...especially when Ellen is speaking.

I don't believe she is being a diva behind the scenes. However, I'm not liking her on the show. She adds nothing, her comments to the contestants show how much she doesn't know about singing. This is a singing competition get a judge in the business next time. Still love Ellen on her own show though.
