This week, Mara Wilson wrote a post on Cracked about why child stars tend to struggle later in life — this, on the heels of legal drama surrounding Amanda Bynes. Highlighting seven reasons child stars go crazy, she details thoughtful theories about parents' involvement, sexual exploitation, and the pressure of a large fan base. Mara, the star of '90s hits like Mrs. Doubtfire and Matilda, knows what she's talking about, and she's not the first to offer insights on child stardom. A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio, Drew Barrymore and Scarlett Johansson have shared their experiences growing up in Hollywood, and while some appreciated their career head starts, others have called out its downfalls. See what former child stars have to say about their early years in the spotlight!
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's engagement has been called off, reportedly! Following three years of dating, Liam proposed to Miley last June when she was only 19, but it seems teenage love was not meant to last for her. With four months of breakup rumours and family members and famous friends weighing in on their relationship status, wedding bells don't look promising. Although Miley and Liam may not make it down the aisle, there are more than a handful of celebrities who said "I do" before their 20th birthdays, as Miley intended to. Check out the list of stars who did tie the knot as teenagers, including Drew Barrymore, Olivia Wilde, Bo Derek and more!
Drew Barrymore is no stranger to hair colours and only recently stepped out with dark auburn locks to promote her new makeup line. Then at the GLAAD Awards (April 20), she was seen sporting an all-over honey colour, but the recent change of a bright blonde hue has led us to believe she was prepping for this for a while. What do you think? Are you loving this look on Drew?
Last night's GLAAD Media Awards in LA drew a out an A-list crowd — and the A-list looks to go with it. Hollywood heavyweights like Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, and Drew Barrymore — who played host for the event — gave us evening glamour of the chicest kind. Charlize stepped arrived in a halter-style black Jason Wu jumpsuit, while Drew posed in a long-sleeve floral-print skirt set, and Jennifer showed off a flared David Koma LBD (and a new bob!). For the rest of the red-carpet details, like Kirsten Dunst in a lacy LBD, you'll have to keep clicking.
We've always loved Drew Barrymore's fresh take on beauty, but she's never looked as beautiful as she does now. Stepping out the promote her makeup line, Flower, she was glowing with good health and happiness, but it was her darker hair colour, glowing skin and dusty rose lips that really caught our attention. Taking a slightly more dramatic turn was Emmy Rossum, who worked a light navy blue/grey smoky eye to perfection — we also love her half-up 'do — and Stacy Keibler, with a bright and bold lip. There's more to see! Take a pretty step this way to see it all.
Drew Barrymore was animated at Lucky magazine's Fashion and Beauty Blog conference at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills yesterday. She sat down to chat beauty trends with bloggers while wearing patterned pants and a silk blouse, and then changed her ensemble to hit the cocktail party as part of the festivities later that evening. Drew, who graces Lucky's May cover, was joined by a Carolina Herrera-clad Julianne Hough, Christa B. Allen, and Kelly Osbourne for the fashionable day-long soiree.
Drew has been promoting her recently launched Flower Beauty line, and she was able to share her expertise at the event, which focuses on all things beauty and fashion. She also demonstrated her beauty knowledge during a stop on Jimmy Fallon last month where she chatted about her new line and used Jimmy as her subject for a hilarious makeup tutorial. Drew and the Late Night host have remained pals since co-starring in 2005's Fever Pitch together, and she revealed that she wished Jimmy well on his upcoming move by sending him flowers accompanied by "the most loving card in the world." Jimmy was officially appointed as the new Tonight Show host, taking over for Jay Leno, who will retire next year.

Drew Barrymore appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon late last week to show off her new makeup line, Flower Cosmetics. And in true Jimmy and Drew fashion, the duo mucked it up by playing a knee-slapping game of "Russian rougelette." Going to the makeup counter and trying out each product is generally the way women choose their cosmetics. However, watching Jimmy and Drew duke it out in a drawing contest is a lot more entertaining. The two used eyeshadow, lipstick, and lip liner from Drew's Walmart makeup line as face paint. Jimmy won the game, but we have to say he looks pretty good in pink lipstick.
Emily Blunt is replacing Emma Watson, Jude Law is taking over for Michael Fassbender, and the movie industry appears to be one big game of musical chairs this week. They're not the only ones scoring deals; another X-Men alum has confirmed a return, and a primetime beauty is poised to turn up the Heat. Meanwhile, Drew Barrymore is set to re-team with her 50 First Dates co-star, Adam Sandler. Find out about all the latest big Hollywood deals.
With the wave of celebrity betrothals last year and this year (already!), it looks like we've got a lot of weddings to look forward to soon. Jennifer Aniston was one of the biggest names (and most hotly-anticipated) to confirm an engagement, and the huge ring that Justin Theroux presented to her made his feelings very clear indeed. Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis announced their engagement in January of this year, and her ring is one of the most unique we've seen. We also did some drool-inducing research so you can check out the best rocks around, from Princess Grace of Monaco to the Victoria's Secret angels, plus Aussies Miranda Kerr, Rachael Finch and Jen Hawkins. And if the man in your life needs a subtle nudge (or kick) in the right direction, why not pass the link on . . .
