SJP and Blake Lively Team Up to Launch Target In Canada

Sarah Jessica Parker and Blake Lively helped launch Canada's first Target store in Toronto yesterday.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Blake Lively helped launch Canada's first Target store in Toronto yesterday. Blake wore a Roland Mouret dress and Christian Louboutin shoes while SJP kept things a bit more casual in white jeans. The pair were joined by Canadian actress and Happy Endings star Elisha Cuthbert, who shopped around the store and later gushed about meeting Sarah Jessica. She tweeted, "What a dream, chatting and hanging out with the one and only Sarah Jessica Parker."

Blake is no stranger to the country, as she is married to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, and the two hung out there in February while Ryan filmed Queen of the Night. Blake has been taking some time off from work after she wrapped Gossip Girl last year. Meanwhile, her Target shopping buddy SJP is reportedly working on two films and recently checked out the Tilda Swinton sleeping in a box exhibit at New York's Museum of Modern Art.

Lea Michele Celebrates Her Nylon TV Issue Cover With Famous Friends

Lea Michele was the guest of honour on Saturday night at Sony X Headphones and Nylon's private dinner and party at Mr. C in Beverly Hills.

Lea Michele was the guest of honour on Saturday night at Sony X Headphones and Nylon's private dinner and party at Mr. C in Beverly Hills. The celebration toasted Lea's cover for the magazine's September TV issue and the launch of Sony's new headphones, which were developed with The X Factor's own Simon Cowell.

Lucy Hale, a newly-engaged Elisha Cuthbert, The Office's B.J. Novak, and The Vampire Diaries actress Kat Graham were among the other notable guests on hand for the soiree. We caught up with Lea before dinner, when she jokingly told us she "begged" the magazine to pick her as the issue's cover girl, and talked about the season premiere of Glee. Lea says that so far this season, most of the scenes she's shot have been opposite Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and guest star Kate Hudson. Lea hinted that there will be even more big-name cameos announced soon, and said finding out Kate and Sarah Jessica Parker would both be on the show this season was like a dream come true. She said: "When I found out that we had Kate and Sarah, I was like, I'm sorry — does it get any better than that for a girl my age?"

Celebrity Trend Spotting: Sporty Colour Blocking

If the Fall runway collections from Rag & Bone, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Jil Sander are any indication, now is the time to invest in all things sporty — think body-conscious racerback tanks; slouchy, relaxed outerwear; and cool, graphic colour block prints.

If the Fall runway collections from Rag & Bone, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Jil Sander are any indication, now is the time to invest in all things sporty — think body-conscious racerback tanks; slouchy, relaxed outerwear; and cool, graphic colour block prints. We can also look to celebrities to glean some inspiration on the trend: Solange Knowles put a louche spin on the trend by pairing a coloured block tee with a pair of slim-fitting trousers while Kate Winslet dazzled in a supersexy Stella McCartney sheath dress, artfully contoured to streamline the silhouette. Additionally, Elisha Cuthbert made a sleek statement in a short-sleeved BCBG Max Azria frock. The sexy sportif trend is easy to achieve; just stick to modern, minimalist shapes, brightly hued colour blocking, and athletic-inspired silhouettes. Ready to get physical?
