The 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards are on Monday, and we're gearing up for the biggest night in TV with a look back at the show's best moments from the past. The Emmys celebrate our small-screen favourites from the US, including hot leading men, funny comedians, and the best dramatic actors — and we can't wait to see who wins big this time around. See a full list of this year's nominees, and click through to see the stars from Emmy's past!
This morning, we were all crying into our coffees over last night's TV death of Patrick from Offspring — how could you not feel the pain of his leading lady Nina (played by Asher Keddie)? We've loved Nina from day one of the Aussie drama, for her neuroses, down-to-earth attitude and, not least of all, her casual approach to beauty. A slick of gloss, some mascara and a ponytail? That's our girl, and we wouldn't have her any other way! Click through to see some of our favourite female characters of all time, and the hair and makeup looks that made them instantly recognisable.
Los Angeles basketball team the Lakers had plenty of star-studded support during their game against Miami at the Staples Center over the weekend, though they didn't take home a win. Hilary Duff took a break from mum duty with Luca to spend the evening out with husband Mike Comrie, while Mark Wahlberg and his wife, Rhea Durham, showed their boys some love courtside. Leonardo DiCaprio hung out in the stands with a pal after making the rounds at Monday's Golden Globes. Other famous faces in the crowd included Ellen Pompeo, who cuddled up with her man, Chris Ivery, as well as Queen Latifah, Jack Nicholson, and Ron Howard.
Awards season got off to a good start with the 2013 People's Choice Awards in LA yesterday. The show was full of big wins, plus plenty of laughs from host Kaley Cuoco and some of her celebrity pals. Jennifer Aniston won favourite comedic movie actress, while Jennifer Lawrence took home favourite dramatic movie actress for The Hunger Games, and the film itself picked up best movie and favourite action movie. The Wanted surprisingly beat out One Direction and Carly Rae Jepsen for favourite breakout artist, and Sandra Bullock was honoured for her humanitarian work in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Sandra teared up while receiving her award, mentioning that the number one reason she loves NOLA is because of "a little sick boy at home who is my man," referring to her son Louis. There were many more statues handed out, so be sure to check out all the People's Choice Award winners.
Other notable moments from the awards show included Happy Endings star Carly Wilson claiming Ian Somerhalder as her boyfriend, Adam Sandler inviting the audience over to Jennifer Aniston's house for pizza, and Jennifer Lawrence declaring that she wishes she was in Mean Girls so she could break her award and hand pieces out to everyone in the audience. There were also performances by Alicia Keys, Jason Aldean and Christina Aguilera. Don't forget to take a look at the 2013 PCAs red carpet arrivals, and be sure to vote for your favourite fashion in our fashion and beauty polls.

Saturday's Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in LA was a family affair for stars including Rachel Zoe, Alessandra Ambrosio, Selma Blair, and Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romjin. The India-inspired event also drew Lauren Conrad and her boyfriend William Tell, who were spotted cosying up to each other in the VIP tent, Twilight star Ashley Greene, and Justin Long, among others. We spotted Justin horsing around with Jerry and Rebecca's twin daughters during the kid-friendly party, where fellow mums Rachel and Alessandra also did some bonding with their little ones.
The match was a close one, but polo star Nacho Figueras' team reigned supreme with a score of 10-9 after actress Ali Larter kicked things off by throwing out the first toss. Rachel presented the Ralph Lauren model with an oversized bottle of champagne during the awards ceremony, during which he was honoured as the day's MVP, with her son Skyler Berman and husband Rodger Berman by her side.
We've gotten so accustomed to seeing statement lips/eyes/brows/hair/everything at the many celebrity events each week that when stars step out looking natural — like they have done at the Third Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in Los Angeles yesterday — we actually get a little bit excited. It's so nice to see clear, glowing skin, natural lip colours and hair that looks carefree and easy to copy (very important, obviously). While each gorgeous celebrity had a key feature to make them stand out — Lauren Conrad's curls, Rachel Zoe's lip, Mandy Moore's alabaster skin — they all looked like they were happy to be in their own skin, using makeup only to accentuate the goods that they've all already got. Click through to see which looks we loved, and who else rounded out the Polo.
Even though we're in the midst of New York Fashion Week madness, we're getting excited for next week's 2011 Emmy Awards! The majority of the stars look devastatingly beautiful for major awards shows but other times not so much. Of course myself, Pop and Fab will all be on hand throughout the event to keep you up-to-speed with the red carpet action, but in the meantime, let's take a look at Emmys past to see where some celebs stumbled with their hair and makeup looks.
Hollywood’s leading ladies were out in force today at an evening of cocktails and shopping hosted by Coach in Santa Monica. Funds raised at the event benefit the Children’s Defense Fund, a non-profit American child advocacy and research group that tries to give all kids a fair chance. A-list actresses such as Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Garner and Emma Roberts came together with the queens of the small screen, including Christina Hendricks, Sophia Bush and Jessica Stroup, while mothers-to-be Alyssa Milano and Selma Blair bonded over their growing bellies.
Gucci And Roc Nation's pre-Grammys brunch brought out plenty of A-Listers to LA's Soho House yesterday. Beyoncé and Jay-Z mingled with pals like Rihanna, Will Smith and Will's Hancock co-star Charlize Theron. Guys like Ryan Phillippe, Simon Rex, and the recently engaged Mark Ronson also hit up the meal. The musicians got together to kick off the run-up of parties ahead of tonight's ceremony — check out our highlights from Grammys past! We'll be covering the show and all the performers you're excited to see, so stay tuned for updates!
