Jennifer Garner's physique has been wowing us with since her days on Alias. Three kids and many years later, we are still impressed! The A-list brought their A-game to the red carpet over the weekend for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' fifth annual Governors Awards. Jennifer Garner, Amy Adams, and honouree Angelina Jolie kicked off award season at the black-tie event with a lineup of Oscar-ready gowns. Jennifer Garner stepped out in a tea-length, black Dolce & Gabbana dress and coordinating sky-high platforms. Amy Adams opted for a sleek strapless gown in a gorgeous plum hue; and Angelina Jolie made her mark on the event in a glamorous, sequined black gown with a full skirt. Now that you have all the details, it's time to weigh in: which actress deserves an award for best dressed?
This week was always going to be a big one, with Spring Racing Carnival earmarked as one of the hottest events on the calendar — but we got a lot more than just horse races! Jennifer Garner cut a glamorous figure for the Marvelous Max Mara event in Tokyo on Tuesday. She wore a long white gown with a sexy side slit and posed with the brand's chairman, Luigi Maramotti, on the red carpet. This is the second time we've seen Jennifer step out on behalf of Max Mara since she was named as the face of the brand's accessories campaign earlier this year (it not only marks Jen's first-ever fashion gig but also the first time the Italian house has employed a celebrity spokesperson). She celebrated at a Big Apple party in her honour after her gorgeous ad images made the rounds back in July.
About Jennifer's appointment to the line, Luigi Maramotti said, "Jennifer Garner is a real woman, not a cover girl, not a starlet, and she has different interests, a family and values." Before she headed to Japan, Jen was all about family when just last week, she and husband Ben Affleck brought their three kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, trick-or-treating around their LA neighbourhood.
Jennifer Garner held nothing back during a recent appearance on the Ellen show. While the chat got off to a good start — Jennifer talked about dressing up for Halloween with her kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel — it quickly turned into a hilarious discussion that husband Ben Affleck may not be super pumped about seeing on TV.
Jennifer told Ellen DeGeneres all about Ben's aversion to his Tin Man costume (the brood went as Wizard of Oz characters last year) and went on to show a candid photo of her hubby in costume to the audience. When asked about a comment she made during her last visit to the show in September 2012, Jennifer fumbled while trying to clarify her quotes about Ben's "wonder sperm," saying, "Spermy has so far been held at bay." Jennifer's Ellen interview airs tomorrow, but you can watch a clip from the sit-down right now.
It was a star-studded night at the Dallas Buyers Club premiere in LA last night. Jennifer Garner and Jared Leto were both flying solo, while Matthew McConaughey brought along his wife, Camila Alves. The film has been picking up steam since it debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival last month. Even ahead of the film's release date, it has been attracting plenty of buzz for its transformative and brilliant performances. Jared Leto morphs himself into the transgendered business partner of Tom Woodroof, played by McConaughey, and Matthew dropped over 20kgs to play the Texan AIDS patient. Jennifer Garner also joins the film as a doctor. See all the pictures from the premiere event!
There, Jennifer, who started working with the charity five years ago, was also joined by her Alias costar Victor Garner and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In her speech at the event, Jennifer shared the advice Violet gave her: "I told my daughter Violet that I was a little nervous to speak in front of a crowd like this, and she gave me a great piece of advice, which was: to imagine that you are all our dogs, Martha Stewart and Gandhi, and to imagine you’re all wagging your tails, waiting for a treat, and the treat is my speech!"
Jennifer also hinted at her own political preferences by referring to Hillary as "our next president." The mum of three is likely enjoying the family time in NYC, too. Jennifer will soon hit the press trail ahead of her newest film, Dallas Buyers Club, out Nov. 1.
We know who Ben Affleck’s biggest fans are. On two occasions in the past couple of weeks, Ben and Jennifer Garner’s kids have been spotted wearing their hearts on their clothes! On Wednesday, Jennifer treated their second daughter, Seraphina, to ice cream after picking up big sis Violet from school, and Sera sported a long-sleeved pink top featuring a screen print of a smiling Ben. And early last week, Jennifer ran to the farmer’s market with her brood, and their son Samuel walked around in a Batman tee — a fitting tribute to his dad, who will soon bring his version of the Caped Crusader to the big screen in the Man of Steel sequel. With super-cute supporters like these, it’s no wonder Ben wasn’t fussed by the backlash that followed his casting
