With two well-known people passing away this week, it's only natural that Twitter was awash with tribute tweets and words of reflection. Paul Walker's shock death had scores of celebrities tweeting their sorrow, but none were more heartfelt than those of his Fast & Furious co-stars. Nelson Mandela's passing yesterday was mourned around the globe, and Rihanna was just one high-profile star to mourn his death publically. It wasn't all doom and gloom, though — Joel Madden made sure of that! He and Jessica Biel both made us laugh out loud with their funny tweets, while many others like Anna Kendrick, John Legend and Ellen DeGerenes kept us entertained throughout the week. This week's most beautiful celebrities kicks-off with the one and only Kate Moss. The supermodel looked so sexy at the British Fashion Awards earlier this week, and was joined by the like of Alexa Chung with smooth, chocolate brown waves; Rita Ora with platinum curls and Sienna Miller with rose gold locks. Other beauties to make this list include Katy Perry and Kate's super friend, Karolina Kurkova. And then the ARIAs came along, and Australian beauty hit a high note. . . Ready to click?
Getting this fresh-faced look is easy to copy. Dab on some BB cream for a glowing complexion, then opt for a cream blush to give your skin that lit-from-within glow. While the rosy pink lipstick is the focus of this look, don't forget to enhance your eyes with a sparkling grey smoky eye and lengthening mascara for fluttery lashes. Shop our picks below!
To say it's been a beautiful week is quite the understatement. Things kicked into gear on Saturday with Derby Day, where Lara Bingle gave us bronzed but almost red eyeshadow, and Jennifer Hawkins' sunk-kissed ponytail had us reconsidering balayage all over again. Melbourne Cup came around quickly on Tuesday, where Kate Waterhouse presented with a very dainty Nerida Winter headpiece to complement her chocolate waves. But then there's Coco Rocha, Kate Upton, Poppy Delevingne. . . Gosh, where to begin? Inside.
This week was always going to be a big one, with Spring Racing Carnival earmarked as one of the hottest events on the calendar — but we got a lot more than just horse races! At Derby Day on Saturday, Hamish Blake and Zoe Foster Blake stepped out for the first time since announcing their big news, while new couple Jesinta Campbell and Buddy Franklin were loved-up in the Emirates Marquee. The Melbourne Cup and Crown Oaks Day followed, where Buddy mingled with international model Kate Upton, but there was a lot going on in-between races too! From movie premieres with Liam and Chris Hemsworth to royal sightings and Rihanna living it up on the beach, there's heaps to see. All eyes were on Jessica Biel when she dropped by the Museum of Modern Art's annual Film Benefit in NYC last night while wearing a Chanel frock and clutch. The benefit, which was put on by Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld and held in honour of actress Tilda Swinton, attracted quite a few budding stars, including Imogen Poots and chart-topping 16-year-old singer Lorde, who went for a goth look complete with combat boots and plum lipstick. Of course, the usual NYC power crowd was also at the event, including Anna Wintour and Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Jessica is back in the Big Apple after travelling with husband Justin Timberlake to Orlando, Florida, on Saturday to attend Chris Kirkpatrick's wedding. The nuptials proved to be a veritable *NSYNC reunion, with all of the band members (plus Jessica) posing with the bride at the event. She will likely soon return to LA, where she is currently filming Shiva and May with Girls star Zosia Mamet.
Nars does an amazing teal in their Soft Touch Shadow Pencil Collection, it's called Limited Edition Heat ($39). For something cheaper but just as effective, try Bourjois Paris Sparkling Eyeliner Pencil in Vert Stupéfiant ($16.01). Keep your top lid lined with black, and gently run the green pencil under your eyes on the lash-line and then smudge it slighty. A cotton tip works really well for this.
Any event that brings Karlie Kloss, Alexa Chung, Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld together is certain to deliver a welcome dose of style inspiration. Last night's MoMa Gala Film Benefit Honouring Tilda Swinton brought together all those stars, plus more of New York's fashion pack (we're talking Jessica Bield to Brit Marling).
Alexa Chung dabbled in black, white and shades of grey, while Jessica Biel's heavily-embellished midi dress from Chanels Cruise 2014 line brought the glamour. Head into the gallery to see these looks and more from the MoMa Film Benefit.
