Jessica Simpson and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, celebrated their baby shower with family and celebrity pals on Sunday at the Hotel Bel-Air in LA. Along with Jessica's mum, Tina, sister Ashlee, and daughter Maxwell, other pals including Ken Paves, Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, and Chelsea Handler and her boyfriend, André Balazs, turned out with gifts. The decor at Jessica's baby shower was appropriately boy-themed, since she and Eric are expecting a son. The event, planned by Mindy Weiss, had a Tom Sawyer motif, and guests were treated to comfort food like sliders and pigs in a blanket.
Jessica Simpson's growing baby bump was visible under a formfitting dress from her own line at Belk Southpark Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Saturday. She was joined by sister Ashlee Simpson, fiancé Eric Johnson, and daughter Maxwell for the mall appearance to promote her Jessica Simpson collection. Baby Maxwell even got in on the action and posed for pictures with Jessica and Ashlee after the sisters greeted fans and signed autographs during the visit to the South.
Jessica, who recently revealed that she is expecting a boy, has been all about spending time with family lately. Ashlee and Jessica brought Maxwell and Ashlee's son, Bronx Wentz, along for a family date to Toys "R" Us last week. Maxwell has also accompanied Jessica for her duties as a judge on NBC's Fashion Star as shown in recent backstage footage from the show, which is currently in its second season.
With the wave of celebrity betrothals last year and this year (already!), it looks like we've got a lot of weddings to look forward to soon. Jennifer Aniston was one of the biggest names (and most hotly-anticipated) to confirm an engagement, and the huge ring that Justin Theroux presented to her made his feelings very clear indeed. Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis announced their engagement in January of this year, and her ring is one of the most unique we've seen. We also did some drool-inducing research so you can check out the best rocks around, from Princess Grace of Monaco to the Victoria's Secret angels, plus Aussies Miranda Kerr, Rachael Finch and Jen Hawkins. And if the man in your life needs a subtle nudge (or kick) in the right direction, why not pass the link on . . .
Jessica Simpson accidentally revealed that she is expecting a baby boy during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. She let the news slip while talking about getting sick more often with her new pregnancy. Jessica blurted out, "Who knew that a wiener could make me nauseous!"

If there's one thing we can say for sure after reading today's Tweets, it's that Australia is one popular country! Whether it's the Madden brothers or Ricky Martin, homegrown supermodels or some of our favourite local stars, everyone is wishing us a happy Australia Day — and we're wishing the same to you guys! Aside from patriotic messages, there were comments about good mates (apparently Ronan Keating is one of them!), celebrities mentioning the stars they admire, and one starlet in particular was very disturbed after coming to an Emoji-related realisation. And Rihanna? Well, she had wise words for us all — click through to find out what she, and others, had to say this week!
Jessica Simpson wore a low-cut dress for an appearance on The Tonight Show yesterday. Fresh off an extended holiday vacation to Hawaii with her fiancé, Eric Johnson, their daughter, Maxwell, and a rotating cast of friends and family, Jess was ready to chat about her second pregnancy and her various work projects. One of those projects was announced yesterday morning — a Jessica Simpson scripted comedy is in the works at host Jay Leno's network, NBC.
Jessica was her usual funny candid self while talking with Jay about her expanding family. She said that she and Eric, who've been engaged for two years, "had two different wedding dates, but he keeps knocking me up! We're doing it very backwards. I'll just keep my legs crossed this time." As for their having two kids within two years, apparently it wasn't planned. Jessica admitted, "I was extremely shocked because I was going through a lot of hormonal changes, trying to get back to the old, vibrant Jessica. You know, it was kind of like a one-night stand. And it happened all over again!"
Jessica Simpson is pregnant with her second child, running her fashion empire, prepping for the March premiere of her US show Fashion Star, and now she's adding another project to her busy schedule. Jessica is set to star in a scripted NBC comedy series based on her life that will be produced by Ben Silverman and Jessica's father, Joe. She shared her excitement about the sitcom, saying, "I am so excited to work with Ben and NBC again, this time on a scripted comedy. I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life — so between the real-life elements and a great team of writers, I think we'll have people laughing!"
So tell us — are you excited to see Jessica in a comedy series?
