Join Aveda and Sarah Wilson at the Walk For Water Event This Sunday to Fundraise For Queensland Floods

For twelve years, eco beauty brand Aveda has been celebrating Earth Month and has raised more than US$18 million for organisations that directly affect environmental change. One of their events is the annual Walk for Water, which takes place this Sunday, April 17, in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. As you can guess from the name of the event, money raised goes towards water-related causes, and this year funds raised will go towards the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal to help those affected by the natural disasters in Queensland.

Journalist and former MasterChef host Sarah Wilson has stepped onboard as an ambassador for the walk, and she says, “My deepest thoughts are with the Queenslanders who have been ravaged by Mother Nature and are left with nothing. Tens of thousands of families lost their homes when nature unleashed its fury, first with the devastating floods and then with a chaotic cyclone.
