When The Hangover Part II was filming, the cast and crew was super hush-hush about what the Wolfpack would be up to in the sequel. Well, that's certainly not the case for the third film — director Todd Phillips has been documenting filming via Instagram, snapping shots of Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and the rest of the gang. Click through his photos to see what's in store when the film hits cinemas next year.
Bradley Cooper and his The Hangover Part II castmates Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong and Jamie Chung greeted fans at Wednesday night's Berlin premiere. The sequel, which opened in cinemas yesterday, throws the Wolfpack back into familiar circumstances after another bachelor party goes awry. The stars and director Todd Phillips had their first screening event last week in LA, and made a stop in NYC for another showing earlier this week. Bradley managed to swing by SNL during his stay in the Big Apple, and joined host Justin Timberlake for the after party with Olivia Wilde. Bradley and Olivia were spotted sharing an intimate chat during the soiree, fueling rumours that they're dating.
The Hangover Part II is out today, and Warner Bros. has released these of one-sheets featuring the famous Wolfpack. The banners are strikingly similar to the posters that were released to promote the first movie, which doesn't come as a surprise considering the trailer for The Hangover Part II seems to be following the original formula pretty closely. Still, it's fun to compare and contrast, so check out how the guys look then and now!
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis looked dapper in their suits for the world premiere of The Hangover Part II in LA today. In the movie their characters look worse for wear a lot of the time so their scrubbed-up appearances were a very welcome change! They were joined by co-stars Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong and Mike Tyson, while Jamie Chung, who plays Ed’s fiancée, added some glamour to the red carpet. Kristen Bell looked lovely in a two-tone dress and gave a kiss to the drug-dealing monkey in the movie, while other stars who turned up for the comedy include Robert Downey Jr., mother-to-be Alyssa Milano, Sean Combs and Yvonne Strahovski.
After a funny but ultra-brief teaser, we now a full trailer for The Hangover Part II. Just like the first film, the guys are on the verge of a wedding, but this time it's Stu's, and instead of Vegas, they're in Thailand.
Although the trailer is definitely funny and holds lots of promise for more outrageous humour (you can't go wrong with a face tattoo bit), there's no originality to this follow-up story. From the bachelor trip to the loss and subsequent search for one of their posse, the plot is exactly the same. Even the nature of the jokes is about the same, which makes me think this movie will have no surprises. I loved the first movie and I still love this gang, but I wish that there would be more to look forward to come May 26, when the movie is released. Let me know if you agree when you read more.
Celebs toasted the Tribeca Film Festival last night during a cocktail reception at the W Hotel in Hollywood. The event begins on April 20 in NYC, but stars including Malin Akerman, Dax Shepard, Anna Kendrick and Kate Walsh got an early start to the celebration of independent filmmaking at the packed LA party. Malin's Bang Bang Club, which also co-stars Ryan Phillippe, and Kate's Angel's Crest will be among the first movies to screen at this year's fest. Yesterday evening also marked one of Justin Bartha's first public appearances since his split from Ashley Olsen, and The Hangover star was spotted catching up and laughing with friend Zach Braff inside the soirée. Zach will be a featured speaker at Tribeca this year, and fans can already start submitting questions for the Garden State director online.
It’s not a great week for celebrity couples. Sophie Monk revealed she was no longer engaged to Jimmy Esebag; yesterday it was reported that Ashley Olsen and Justin Bartha had called it quits, and Audrina Patridge has ended things with Aussie Corey Bohan. Today’s split news surrounds Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, who have long been the target of breakup rumours. According to E! Online a source has confirmed that Justin did the ending of the relationship and that Jess is “devastated” about the decision. The two cosied up at the Vanity Fair Oscars party for photographers but apparently they hardly interacted during the night. And Justin has been gushing about his gorgeous, also-single Friends With Benefits co-star Mila Kunis, saying that filming sex scenes with her was “an easy thing to do. I think I could speak for all the men in the world when I say that’s the easy part.” Mila recently returned the compliment when she told MTV at the Cosmopolitan Fun Fearless Males event, “He’s just as lovely, just as professional, just as sweet and amazing, and there’s nothing that he can’t do.” Jess and JT dated for four years.
Ashley Olsen has reportedly split from Justin Bartha, her boyfriend of two years. It was just last October that Justin (famous for his role in The Hangover) was apparently ready to propose to the actress-turned-fashion designer, but it appears they’ve gone their separate ways. During the course of their relationship they supported each other’s projects, with Justin accompanying Ashley to the Met Costume Institute Gala in 2009 and Ashley frequently stepping out for her boyfriend’s premieres. They were also house-hunting in New York three months ago, but a friend has told Us Weekly, “It’s over.” Justin will next be seen in the highly-anticipated The Hangover Part II.
The teaser for The Hangover Part II is here! The boys have indeed added a monkey to their posse during their trip to Bangkok, yet Doug (Justin Bartha) is still no where to be seen. In fact, this footage only focuses on Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), and Alan (Zach Galifianakis).
The clip starts off by showing quick glimpses of the trio's dirty Thai digs, followed by a shot of them slowly strutting (set to Jay-Z, naturally). Keep in mind this is just a teaser, so we don't actually see any of Stu's wedding or those rumoured celebrity cameos, but it has me excited nonetheless! Take a look when you read more.
Scarlett Johansson, David Arquette, Anna Kendrick and Elijah Wood were out last night to support Art of Elysium's Pieces of Heaven art auction in LA. During her break from shooting We Bought a Zoo with Matt Damon, Scarlett posed with the charity's founder, Jennifer Howell, and placed bids on the items up for grabs. Scarlett's also on the list of presenters at Monday's Oscars. David, who is fresh out of a stint in rehab, attended after recently sitting down with Oprah. Their interview, which airs today in the US, includes David sharing about his lifelong battle with alcohol and what drove him to seek help. Other long-term fans of the organisation like Justin Bartha and Topher Grace turned out looking casual after suiting up for last month's Heaven Gala. They also signed a white Chrysler that's going to the highest charitable bidder. Twilight's Anna Kendrick picked up a pen to support the cause, as did Ginnifer Goodwin and adorable couple Dave Annable and Odette Yustman.
