Considering his history for public outbursts, we really shouldn't have been surprised. But when Kanye West stormed the MTV Video Music Award stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Video of the Year, snatched the mike out of her hands and declared Beyonce as the deserved winner, we all cringed. We cringed because, as much as we may have agreed with him on the Beyonce thing, the tacky rapper had managed to destroy what should have been the young country singer's moment of glory. And despite wonderwoman's Beyonce's, and even Kanye's, best efforts to smooth things over, the damage was done; Kanye had confirmed once and for all that he is, indeed, a tool. So well done, Kanye. Well done.
