the photo says so much about their personalities. charming as a trio, Duchess Camilla wears enormous, busy hats, five rows of Queen Mary pearls and a huge cameo, coats to hide her embonpoint, gloves a la the monarch. perhaps trying to look like she can lay claim to a throne. Princess Catherine wears her hem as high as a young child's, eschews gloves to show off her ring, a perfectly proportioned hat and is fashionable but modest. Countess Sophie wears a becoming feminine hat and a dress that shows her curvy figure. Hers is the only hemline to cover the knee, but just barely. she, too, is gloveless. gloves make sense if you want to stay healthy and have to shake a great many hands.
