Kate Middleton and Prince William Pictures at the Soloman Islands Day 2

Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoyed a second day on the Solomon Islands yesterday. On Sunday, a colourful William and Kate were welcomed to the town of Honiara with a traditional ceremony and gala dinner at the home of the islands' governor general.

Kate wore a bright yellow Jaeger dress yesterday morning to meet with women who work in local public service at the Leaf House, a youth center. There, she accepted a gift of a cake from Keithie Saunders, US Consul for the Solomon Islands. Meanwhile, the prince was scheduled to separately hand out Duke of Edinburgh awards to six locals. William and Kate reunited to brave a bit of rain and lay a wreath at the Coastwatchers and Solomon Scouts Memorial nearby.

William and Kate bid farewell to Honiara and flew to the island of Marapa, where they received another warm welcome. Kate, in a navy blue Mulberry frock, boarded an intricately decorated boat to travel with William to the more remote location of Tavanipupu. Their vessel was followed by locals dressed as sharks. William and Kate's final destination of the day is a remote resort, where they're going to enjoy an off-duty and hopefully romantic evening.
