The 2013 upfront presentations have taken over LA, and they've provided the perfect opportunity for stars to show off their stellar red carpet style. At yesteday's Fox party, Minka Kelly paired a green printed, one-shoulder dress with black ankle-strap sandals, while Lea Michele looked bright in a pink, floral Lela Rose dress with silver metallic pumps. Zooey Deschanel proved the most covered up in a black circle skirt topped with a black sequined jacket, and her New Girl co-star Hannah Simone was ladylike in a black dress with a vibrant garden print. Tell us: which Fox star's look gets the best ratings?
Lea Michele struck a pose in a bright dress at the Fox Upfronts in NYC today. She was spotted making her way into the Beacon Theatre with her Glee co-stars, including Darren Criss, Matthew Morrison, Chris Colfer and Jenna Ushkowitz, who wore a black and white ensemble for the event. The fourth season of the show just wrapped up in the US but in April it was announced that there will be plenty more Glee to come, with fifth and sixth seasons picked up. Noticeably absent was Lea’s boyfriend Cory Monteith, who recently completed a stint in rehab for substance addiction.
There were more TV stars from the Fox network on hand for the upfront, including Mindy Kaling, Minka Kelly and Cat Deeley, who waved to fans as they headed to the Beacon Theatre for their photo ops and interviews.
There was plenty to keep our favourite celebrities talking this week. Not least of all, the Met Gala on Tuesday. . . Or more specifically, Gwyneth Paltrow's opinion on the high-society event, and singer Pink's reaction! This week has also seen a few announcements: Tom Cruise had some big news for fans of Mission Impossible, while Elizabeth Banks was mighty unimpressed about the cancellation of a certain show. No happy endings for her! Rebel Wilson and Lea Michele had more to celebrate — see why in here — Lara Bingle took a stand on the gay marriage debate and Lena Dunham reminded us that she's one very cool lady. This week in the world of social media, celebrities kept busy sharing their personal pictures from just about every location you can think of. Lara Bingle took a fresh-faced selfie on a plane (and has never looked better, we might add), while Miranda Kerr jumped for joy during a visit to Sydney's Balmoral beach. Ricki-Lee Coulter had a New York moment in a yellow taxi, Delta Goodrem and Renee Bargh hung out together in Los Angeles and Johnny Ruffo copped a seriously unimpressed look from his co-star Samara Weaving. Stealing the spotlight from them all? Fifi Box, who shared an adorable picture of her week-old baby daughter Beatrix. Cute? You betcha. Click through to see all these pics and more!
From spa treatments and masks to foundation and moisturisers, oxygen is one of the hottest ingredients around. But why does our skin need the added O2? We got the scoop from celebrity esthetician Joanna Vargas, who has worked on the glowing complexions of stars like Michelle Williams and Emma Stone. Uncover the various reasons oxygen and skincare go hand in hand.
It looks like monochrome dressing is the next big thing in style — at least, if you look to these ladies for inspiration! And let's face it, who doesn't? When celebrities look this good, it's hard to not want to emulate every piece from head to toe. Diane Kruger was back on the radar after a quiet few weeks — her Giambattista Valli minidress had a new take on cool capes (remember Gwyneth's Tom Ford?). Miranda Kerr continued her reign as the people's queen of street style when she stepped out in sexy skinnies and a classic topper, while Solange Knowles brightened the week up with a strong hit of marigold. And no one will ever forget the moment Jennifer Lawrence stepped onto the red carpet at the Oscars. With that gorgeous bell-shaped Dior, we reckon she knew that each step she took was fashion history in the making. Keen to see these looks up close? Come this way.
Glee's leading ladies glammed up to celebrate creator Ryan Murphy's PaleyFest Icon Award last night. The LA event wasn't just an opportunity for a cast reunion; it also set the stage for something of a style face-off between Naya Rivera, Lea Michele, and Jayma Mays, who each brought her own brand of cocktail chic to the red carpet. Lea showed her affinity for sexier cuts in a sheer black Vivienne Tam dress with a lacy peekaboo effect, and finished it off with a pair of equally sexy ankle-strap evening sandals. Naya made a polished arrival in a peplum-trimmed navy top, then balanced the flared look with a slim, printed pencil skirt and completed the look with lace-up sandals, a Diane von Furstenberg clutch in hand, and a bright red lip. As for Jayma, she showed off a bright style in a formfitting, collared Paper London shirtdress with a bold, colour-blocked effect, then tempered the look with a pair of classic nude pumps. Each of the ladies brought a unique play on the "party dress." Now we're asking you to pick your favourite. Which look gets your vote?
Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Jane Lynch were joined by their Glee cast members to honour Ryan Murphy as he received the PaleyFest Icon Award in LA last night. Lea wore a sheer black Vivienne Tam dress while her boyfriend, Cory, went for a simple suit at the event. The Glee cast weren't the only stars from Ryan's shows to attend the shindig — Leslie Bibb, Carly Pope and Leslie Grossman from Ryan's first show, Popular, walked the red carpet along with Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha from The New Normal. Many of the stars of Ryan's shows have grown close with the prolific TV creator, and Andrew, Naya Rivera and Darren Criss even did some impressions of Ryan Murphy on the red carpet for the Associated Press. After the award ceremony, Lea tweeted, "A beautiful night honoring the amazing Ryan Murphy. So happy for him. What a joy to be in such an amazing room with such incredible people."
What would we do without Twitter nowadays? Without it, we might have missed the news that Fergie is expecting a baby with her hubby, Josh Duhamel. We might not know that Lea Michele is keeping busy in the recording studio, singing songs that a famous Aussie singer is writing for her (can you guess who?). And then there's less newsy stuff — but so interesting all the same — like, who did Jaime King send a little Twitter love to ahead of the Brit Awards? There's plenty of celebrity action to catch up on, so click through now!
