Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Sean Penn and more star in next month's Gangster Squad (out Jan. 10), and while we're excited that we finally get to see the drama about the LAPD and the mafia battling it out in 1950s LA, the real draw of this new batch of pictures is Ryan Gosling. Sneak a peek at the film and the sexy actor in period clothing (I'm certain that high-waisted pants have never looked so hot), along with the rest of the great-looking cast.

Jessica Chastain Supports Jake Gyllenhaal's Off-Broadway Debut

Jake Gyllenhaal took the stage in NYC on Thursday night for the opening performance of his off-Broadway play, If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet.

Jake Gyllenhaal took the stage in NYC on Thursday night for the opening performance of his off-Broadway play, If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet. This isn't Jake's first attempt at theatre — he made his stage debut in the 2002 London production of This Is Our Youth. Jake's been busy in recent days, balancing two opening projects. He sat down with press at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month to chat up his police drama, End of Watch. Jake has a clean-shaven face — and head — in the film, but lately Jake's been sporting a self-described "grizzly" look for his stage role. Jessica Chastain and Michael Peña were among the stars on hand on Thursday to support Jake and the rest of the cast. Early reviews have been less than stellar for the show as a whole, but Jake's had some applause for his performance.

Jake Gyllenhaal Premieres His "Life-Changing" Movie End of Watch

Jake Gyllenhaal joined his End of Watch co-stars America Ferrera, Anna Kendrick, Michael Peña and Cody Horn yesterday for the film's LA premiere.

Jake Gyllenhaal joined his End of Watch co-stars America Ferrera, Anna Kendrick, Michael Peña and Cody Horn yesterday for the film's LA premiere. The actors welcomed an eclectic mix of special guests, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, 50 Cent, Cody's Magic Mike co-star Joe Manganiello, and Jake's long-time friend Busy Philipps. It was the movie's stateside debut after the cast premiered the film at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this month.

We caught up with Jake and Michael on the red carpet, where Jake spoke to the "life-changing" experience of making the film. He told us he spent five months preparing for the shoot, which lasted less than 22 days in total. He and Michael play LAPD officers in the movie. The world of law enforcement and street crime was a familiar one for writer-director David Ayer — he also penned Training Day.

Anna Kendrick and Jake Gyllenhaal arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of End of Watch over the weekend. Anna chose a black Elie Saab gown for the event while Jake dressed in Prada and their co-star America Ferrera went with Badgley Mischka. Their movie hits theatres soon, but you can check out the End of Watch trailer for a peek at their performances. Anna tweeted after the screening that the movie "was breathtaking; audience response was intense." Anna and Jake are just adding to the serious star power at TIFF, since Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Affleck, Kristen Stewart, and Emily Blunt have already made their mark at the festival.
