NSW Sisters Sammy and Bella Jakubiak Win My Kitchen Rules!

NSW sisters Sammy and Bella Jakubiak have been crowned the winners of the second series of My Kitchen Rules, beating Victorian housemates Kane Lillywhite and Lee Chan! They scored a grand total of 56 out of 60, compared to Kane and Lee’s 52. The Polish siblings wowed the judges and a restaurant filled with former contestants, family and friends (theirs was called Olka Polka) with their five-course Mediterranean-inspired menu, which consisted of raw kingfish with cuttlefish ceviche, porcini mushroom risotto, pan fried Blue Eye, stuffed quail wrapped in prosciutto, and pear and almond tart with saffron ice cream. From the beginning Sammy and Bella have performed at a high standard, earning top marks in their instant restaurant round and continually pushing the boundaries with their technically difficult menus. And while some of the pressure got to Bella tonight before they started the fourth course (both girls also got a bit emotional after reading a letter from their grandmother in Poland), she pushed through to deliver beautiful food with her sister. Now they’ve emerged as the winners and took home a $100,000 prize! Congrats, Sammy and Bella, on a well-deserved win!
