Nicole Kidman stepped out in Dior to support her husband, Keith Urban, at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, yesterday. Keith performed during the show, while Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Nelly and Lenny Kravitz also took the stage. Lenny stopped to chat with Keith and Nicole on his way into the Bridgestone Arena, and it looked like a friendly meeting for Lenny and Keith, who have more in common that just their musical roots, since Lenny dated Nicole in 2003 after her 2001 split from Tom Cruise. Country wife Nicole Kidman showed off a demure Dior dress, accented with sculpted heels, Taylor Swift opted for subdued sparkle in an Elie Saab sheath, while the industry's reigning queen, Carrie Underwood, skipped a gown in favour of a teal, sparkled shorts suit from Editions by Georges Chakra's Spring '13 collection. The CMT Awards rocked the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville today with hosts Kristen Bell and Jason Aldean kicking off the show. After making their way down the red carpet, stars took their spots in the audience and on stage. Miranda Lambert belted out "Mama's Broken Heart" while Lenny Kravtiz teamed up with Jason Aldean at the mic. The show's winners include Miranda Lambert for CMT performance of the year and female video of the year, Carrie Underwood for video of the year, and Blake Shelton for male video of the year. Carrie snapped a selfie in the crowd with her husband when she wasn't busy mingling with country pals like Kimberly Perry and Miranda. Nicole Kidman and performer Keith Urban shared seats with Sheryl Crow and Taylor Swift, who brought her brother Austin along for the fun, and was one of the show's performers. Kristen Bell hit the red carpet alongside fiancé Dax Shepard for the CMT Awards in Nashville, Tennessee today. This is Kristen's first public appearance since giving birth to daughter Lincoln in March, and she made sure to show off her post-baby figure in a short leather dress and sky-high heels. Kristen is back hosting the show for the second time with country singer Jason Aldean — the new mum seemed excited to hit the stage and took to Twitter to share photos of her script, and her practical "new backstage beauty routine."

Also on the red carpet for the big show were Taylor Swift, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood, who posed sweetly with her hockey-player husband Mike Fisher. Carrie will be hitting the stage to perform a tribute to the Oklahoma tornado victims. She will be accompanied by a full choir, as well as photos of the aftermath from the devastating storm that hit her home state late last month.

Far outweighing the glamour of most other red carpets, the Cannes Film Festival is as much about the jaw-dropping couture as it is about the movies. This year's fest was no exception — from start to finish, we were treated to a lineup of A-list dressing. Given the non-stop glamour, it's not easy to play favourites, but we've narrowed it down to just a handful of the most stunning Cannes arrivals. Cara Delevingne lit up the scene in a sultry black lace Burberry gown, Freida Pinto wowed in brilliant colour with a bright pink Gucci gown, and Jessica Biel hit the carpet in a frothy, feathery Marchesa confection and a megawatt serpent necklace. Not to be outdone, Marion Cotillard dazzled in an elegant white Dior dress, and Nicole Kidman played official juror in a decadent and ultra-feminine Valentino Couture gown. Things kicked off to an amazing start with stars including French beauty Audrey Tatou, Emma Watson and Carey Mulligan hitting the red carpet, but there was a few memorable stand-outs like, Cara Delevingne and Bianca Balti to Megan Gale, her fellow L'Oréal Paris ambassador Barbara Palvin that since stole the show with their bold makeup looks — tangerine eyeshadow, glossy lips, winged eyes — and perfectly styled hair. The Cannes Film Festival came to a close yesterday, with French film Blue Is the Warmest Colour taking out the coveted Palme D'Or prize, but the South of France was flooded with stars since it kicked off two Wednesdays ago. Orlando Bloom arrived on the weekend to promote his film Zulu and presented an award at the closing ceremony, while jurors Nicole Kidman, Christoph Waltz and Steven Spielberg headed into the ceremony as a group. Uma Thurman had her partner, Arpad Busson, on her arm for the closing ceremony as well, and last week Michael Douglas and Matt Damon were the talk of the international film extravaganza, promoting their film Behind the Candelabra. Over the past two weeks, other stars like Jessica Chastain, Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake and Alec Baldwin have also been getting in on the Cannes fun.
