Nicole Kidman hires Angelina Jolie's manager, Geyer Kosinski

I’ve said before that I just think it’s strange that Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz are BFF’s after Pene hooked up with Tom Cruise immediately after he split from Nicole, but whatevs. It seems like Nicole is not only going back to her red roots, she’s also mixing things up when it comes to her career. She’s recently hired Angelina Jolie’s manager, Geyer Kosinski. She also sacked her publicist of 15 years, Catherine Olim, last July. Geyer definitely has a different strategy when it comes to public relations. According to Deadline Hollywood, “Kosinski is known to be very controlling, very secretive, very involved with his clients’ lives (and hates talking to the media).” (Why am I always tempted to call him "Keyser Soyse" from The Usual Suspects?) Anyhow, it seems like he’s already having an influence. Instead of canoodling on the red carpet with hubby Keith Urban, Nic has attended four major events during awards season without once stepping onto the red carpet. She dodged arrival duties at last weekend’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, as well as the Golden Globes, G’Day USA event and the People’s Choice awards. But I’m hoping she’ll at least give us a little red carpet love at the upcoming Academy Awards.
