The best director race could also have a surprising outcome, since two of award season's heavyweights — Ben Affleck and Kathryn Bigelow — aren't even in it. Of the contenders, we have faith that directing icon Steven Spielberg will win — the man has won twice before, and he directed Daniel Day-Lewis in the role of a lifetime.

From the list of nominees, Jennifer Lawrence is soooo overrated. Blame it on the popularity of Hunger Games movie. Ms. Riva should get the award for Best Actress, because she is a natural.
