Celebrities may be best known for their glamorous red-carpet beauty looks, but they know how to embrace casual styles, too. Whether you're chilling with friends at dinner or hitting the mall to make a few returns, there's something here to inspire. Looking so effortlessly beautiful just got a whole lot easier.
Editors' Picks: Our 2013 Beauty Resolutions (+ Hair Crushes)
Mid-January is a great time to get to work on any New Year resolutions or intentions, because the late nights filled with endless streams of champagne are finally (sadly) over. Here at Sugar, we have made our fashion goals known, and now it's time to think beauty. Beauty resolutions can come in many shapes and sizes — from regular facials to trying a new shade of red lipstick — and then there's the hair... A new year means new locks, so we asked the girls to reveal the celebrity hair they want, real bad.
Accessory of the Week: Structured Handbags
Ladies, pack away your floppy hobo bags. Set aside your satchels and toss the totes — the structured handbag is back. After seeing these hard-edged bags making their comeback in a too-pretty-for-words Louis Vuitton video, and the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2013 campaign, it became pretty apparent that the days of soft, floppy bags are over — at least, temporarily. Victoria Beckham's been all over the look for years, while Rachel Bilson and Olivia Palermo are just two stylish stars who've joined the fan club more recently. With characteristically short handles, a strong square edge and thick leather, these little crowd-pleasers are the kind you can't go wrong with. Cick through our top 10 and take your pick!
Ashley Madekwe, Kirsten Dunst & More Go Glam for Art of Elysium
The Art of Elysium organisation hosted their annual Heaven gala Saturday evening in downtown LA, and the celebrity beauty looks on show had to be some of the best we've seen in recent weeks. Kirsten Dunst kept it fuss-free with a chic blow dry and dewy skin, while resident fashion fiend Ashley Madekwe went for red wine lips and Old Hollywood hair. Click through to see more, including the best dramatic eye from Jaime King.
Every Gorgeous Gown From The Art of Elysium's Heaven Gala Right Here
The Art of Elysium's sixth annual Heaven Gala went off with a band over the weekend, and like years past, the red-carpet sightings are every bit as ethereal and lovely as the event's official name would suggest. Whether your definition of a "slice of heaven" conjures up something akin to Jaime King's downright-dramatic red gown or happens to look exactly like Camilla Belle's printed off-the-shoulder number, there's enough evening-glam fodder to go around. We're in love with Kirsten Dunst's checkered Louis Vuitton Spring '13 choice and we're in full-on gush mode in regard to Rachel Bilson's ensemble. Can we take a moment to give double thanks to her exotic and pretty-in-pink confection? The Hart of Dixie starlet never fails us, and last night was a prime of example of why that's so. Take a look!

The Icon Kit: Snap Up Rachel Bilson's High Shine Short Suit
There's no way that Bella and I could not include Rachel Bilson somewhere in the Icon Kit mix, so today we're shining a light on one of the cutie patootie's best-ever looks; that 3.1 Phillip Lim rose gold short suit. Ms Bilson worked this directional look with her usual effortless style for a Vogue fête way back in June of 2009, but three years on this high-shine ensemble still has major sway with us. Step inside to see how steal a little bit of Rachel's iconic style for your fine selves. . .
Lauren Conrad Gets Serious About Her Man — and ShoeMint's Anniversary
Lauren Conrad and Rachel Bilson helped celebrate ShoeMint's one-year anniversary at Laurel Hardware in LA on Saturday. The footwear line is designed by Rachel and her partner, stylist Nicole Chavez, and they were both on hand to toast their milestone with Lauren, Jaime King and Cacee Cobb. Rachel and Nicole were thrilled to have their pals on hand, with ShoeMint tweeting postparty, "Thank you so much to everyone who celebrated our 1 year birthday! Amazing to have so many smart and talented women together in one place."
Lauren's no stranger to design, being the brains behind her own Paper Crown collection. She's been busy touting her pieces, as well as two books, Lauren Conrad Beauty and Starstruck. Lauren's had boyfriend William Tell by her side during the very busy year and, in a recent interview, hinted about their future together. Lauren alluded to marriage in one chat, saying, "I kind of hope I’m done with dating . . . At the moment, I don’t think I’m ready for [marriage]. I have a lot of professional things that I’m focusing on."
Red Accessories: Are Gwyneth And Rachel Telling Us Something?

It certainly seems like red accessories are the NBT — otherwise known as Next Big Thing. Gwyneth Paltrow and Rachel Bilson have both been the sartorial stars in our eyes for some time — one is known for her polished designer ensembles, the other has perfected the art of classic street style — so you know when they're both on the same trend train, you've gotta keep up. The trick with bright accessories is making sure you keep everything else understated, just as these ladies did over the weekend. Between Gwyn's orange-red pointed pumps and Rachel's vibrant red bag, we can't decide which take on the trend we prefer — don't even get us started on all the accessories you can shop below! Happy hunting, friends.
Top Ten Best Dressed Of The Week: Leighton Meester, Abbie Cornish & Rachel Bilson
Our favourite sartorial stars held up their end of the bargain this week as they stepped out in both on- and off-duty looks we went gaga over. Perennial style fave Rachel Bilson led the way with a relaxed jeans-and-silk blouse ensemble that we can't wait to try for ourselves (lucky we know which label she's wearing!), while Sarah Jessica Parker and Poppy Delevingne hit the town in designer duds we could probably only dream of wearing. But whether they've gone high-end or high street, these celebrities always look a million bucks — and that's why they've earned a place on our Top 10 Best Dressed list this week. From Leelee Sobieski to Karlie Kloss, there are a whole lot more stylistas to check out, so get clicking!
