The case of the West Memphis Three murders is so complex that 20 years after the infamous crimes, documentaries — and now a feature film — are still uncovering details. Reese Witherspoon stars in Devil's Knot as the mother of one of three young boys found dead in West Memphis, Arkansas. Soon, eyes are cast on a group of Satan-worshipping teens in the area. Colin Firth shows up as an investigator on the case, and The Killing's Mireille Enos, Dane DeHaan, and True Blood's Stephen Moyer all co-star.
Devil's Knot premiered earlier this year at the Toronto Film Festival, and despite the tepid reception it received, I'm still fascinated enough by the real case to give the film a shot. I'm not sold on Witherspoon yet, but I love DeHaan and Firth. The drama hits cinemas next year, and you can watch the trailer after the jump.

US Elle's annual Women in Hollywood issue focuses on the powerful women who are making big changes in the film industry. The newest round of exceptional actresses discuss everything from making films with strong female leads to standing up against conventional expectations for women in the industry. We know these women inspire us, but what inspires them? We're taking a look at a few insightful quotes from this year's big game changers.
In a world filled with cookie-cutter blondes and brunettes with perfectly symmetrical features, we were happily surprised that Melissa Juratowitch, a 16 year old from Victoria, was crowned Australia's Next Top Model. With her heart-shaped face, wide-set eyes and larger than normal forehead, it makes us remember that a point of difference can be so refreshing. And when it comes to other stars, you'll see that their "quirky" features — from gaps in their teeth to freckles, dimples, mismatched eyes, strong noses, bold brows and more — haven't held them back in anyway. In fact, their beautiful uniquities have made them some of the most admired and respected women in the world.
Aussie model Jess Hart joins birthday girl Madonna in the gap-toothed genre, Lea Michele's been vocal about her choice to keep her "Jewish nose" exactly as is, and Rashida Jones and Sienna Miller are two of the most beautiful women in the world — freckles and all. Beauty comes in so many forms. . . Let's celebrate them all and congratulations Melissa!
