Welcome Back, Rove! The TV Host Returns to the Small Screen

We’ve missed Rove McManus on our screens since he ended his famous, long-running talk show Rove Live back in 2009. And there hasn’t really been anyone who’s been able to fill that void. But Rove’s coming back to TV and announced on Twitter yesterday, “It’s official. I have a new show on its way later this year. Looking forward to being back.” The show currently has the working title Rove LA and will follow the same type of format as his original show — celebrity interviews and a live audience, but all filmed at his current base in LA. He told the Herald Sun, “It will be that talk-and-variety style of show that I like doing, but a more simplified version.” He signed a deal with Foxtel and the show will air on FOX8 later this year. If all things go to plan he’ll finally be able to crack US audiences, but for now he’s enjoying home life with Tasma Walton. The two were able to catch up with familiar faces when Rove MC’d the G’Day USA Black Tie Gala over the weekend.
