Halloween is here, but celebrities have been wearing their costumes to parties all week! Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady were inspired by The Wizard of Oz, channelling Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion at a private event, Paris Hilton was a dead ringer for Miley Cyrus at the Playboy Mansion Halloween party, and Alessandra Ambrosio added a little sex appeal to the Queen of Hearts. Meanwhile, Sandra Bullock took the Day of the Dead approach, and Julianne Hough's Orange Is the New Black costume stirred up quite a bit of controversy. Take a look at all the stars who have gone out in costume so far this year
The biggest event of the week that elicited a collective “Aww!” was Prince George’s christening, where the world got to glimpse his chubby cheeks and cheery demeanour. It’s actually been a very busy week for his mother, Kate Middleton, who stepped out three times — first to play some volleyball, then for the christening, and finally for her first gala charity event since welcoming her son in July. Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani finally confirmed she’s pregnant with her third child when she cradled her baby bump at the Annenberg Gala last weekend. As for hot young stars Lara Bingle and Harry Styles, they were all about showing skin at their respective events.

Amy Adams opted for a curve-hugging icy white dress with sleek seamwork and structured shoulders. Sandra Bullock amped up the sex appeal in a black dress with sheer lace detailing by DSquared2, which she styled with an equally sexy pair of black strappy sandals. Julia Roberts, an honouree of the evening, showed that red carpet dressing doesn't have to be so black and white, adding a little colour thanks to the graphic floral hemline of her Elie Saab shift dress.
She picked up on the fuchsia hues with a pair or Rupert Sanderson heels, and complemented the greens in the pattern with a pair of Irene Neuwirth earrings.
Some of the film industry’s brightest stars and biggest players stepped out for the Hollywood Film Awards today, which were held at the Beverly Hilton, perhaps giving us a taste of what we can expect when awards season gets into full swing early next year. Sandra Bullock and Matthew McConaughey were honoured with the Hollywood actress and actor of the year awards respectively, with Matthew thanking his wife Camila for “not only letting me be obsessed [with my career], but demanding I be obsessed.” Julia Roberts was recognised for her work in August: Osage County, and told People that working with Meryl Streep in the film was “a dream come true.”
Jake Gyllenhaal received the supporting actor award for his role in Prisoners, and said he wanted to do the dark movie “because it’s so balls to the wall.” Other winners included rising star Michael B. Jordan from Fruitvale Station and 12 Years a Slave breakout director Steve McQueen, who had his award presented to him by his friend Kanye West — Kanye flew in from San Francisco for the event and headed back after the show.

Sandra Bullock put her rapping skills on display on the UK's Jonathan Ross Show when she bust out a rendition of The Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight" during an interview. According to Sandra, she first learned the lyrics to the song so she could impress a boy in high school. She said, "I was like, 'Next time I go to that dance, I'm going to know every word. I'm going to make sure he sees me lip-syncing it, and I'm going to catch his eye, and say the words. And he's going to like me.' And sadly it worked." Sandra also later showed off another musical skill, dancing on a giant piano, when she played chopsticks during a Big piano scene reenactment with fellow talk show guest Tom Hanks.
Of course, Sandra isn't the only A-list actress who know how to rap — Gwyneth Paltrow famously showed off her skills when she sang NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" on a different British talk show, The Graham Norton Show, back in 2011. Watch Gwyneth get down with her bad self below.
Who do you think was the better rapper — Sandra or Gwyneth? Share your thoughts in our poll below.
The weekend kicked off with the arrival of two cheeky, charming and handsome British Harrys — one was Prince Harry, who was in town for the International Fleet Review, and the other was Harry Styles, who landed with his One Direction bandmates for the Sydney leg of their Take Me Home tour. Prince Harry gave a royal touch to the official International Fleet Review program, which was celebrated with a brilliant fireworks display across Sydney Harbour on Saturday night, and at the same time Harry performed for more than 20,000 screaming fans at Olympic Park. The city couldn’t get enough of them over the weekend!
As for other things that took place in Sydney, Lara Bingle and Sam Worthington went public with their romance, first linking up to run errands and then hitting the beach for some serious PDA. Over in the US, Kristen Stewart landed at the airport with new markings on her arm — did she add to her growing tattoo collection, or did she just get bored and doodle? — and Miranda Kerr’s cheeky son Flynn gave the cameras a cute wave. Talk about a British invasion! Stellar red carpet regulars Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger showed the rest of us how beauty is done right this week, but the UK pair's aesthetics couldn't have been more different. True to form, queen Kate went for a slightly messy rocker vibe — think smudged eyeliner, air-dried hair and cheekbones you could cut glass with. Other end of the spectrum: gorgeous Georgia, with her Old Hollywood curls and peach-pink pout. See why we had trouble picking a favourite? Not to be outdone, Sienna Miller, Jessica Alba and Laura Dundovic also made the cut in this week's Most Beautiful list — slide through to see them all!
To recreate this perfect pout this weekend (watch out, world!), you need to arm yourself with a good lip balm, a liner, and a red to rival Sandra's. Slather your lips in balm at least a few hours before the big event, to moisturise, plump and seal them, then line and lightly fill them with a red liner to match your lipstick colour. In this instance, we suggest using Napoleon Perdis Lip Pencil in Rococo Red ($23.80). Once your lips are lined, coat them in NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella ($39). Smooth the colour with your fingertips, ruffle your hair with your fingers, and you are ready! Too easy.
