The 67th annual Tony Awards came to Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night — and brought with it a crowd of very chic celebrities. The Broadway-meets-Hollywood set turned out a range of red carpet wear, from Scarlett Johansson's sexier Saint Laurent ensemble to Anna Kendrick and Angela Bassett's more glamorous gowns. Inside, there's more Tonys-induced sparkle from the likes of Sienna Miller and Debra Messing — all you have to do is keep clicking.
The 67th annual Tony Awards rolled into Radio City Music Hall in NYC on Sunday to recognise achievements on Broadway. Host Neil Patrick Harris, who ran the show for the fourth time, walked the red carpet with David Burtka and kicked things off with a big musical number that included performers from almost a dozen Broadway musicals — as well as Mike Tyson dancing on stage. Best actor nominee Tom Hanks had wife Rita Wilson by his side, while Jake Gyllenhaal looked handsome in a crisp suit and bow tie after popping up at Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards on Saturday in LA. Annie's Jane Lynch took the stage to perform during the show but posed solo on the red carpet where Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson, in a custom bow tie from his Tie the Knot organisation, stuck by fiancé Justin Mikita's side. Presenter Anna Kendrick chose a Donna Karan Atelier gown, and past Tony winner Scarlett Johansson wore an all-black Saint Laurent ensemble for her onstage appearance with Alan Cummings. Actor and all-around adorable person Joseph Gordon-Levitt is making his directorial debut with Don Jon (formerly titled Don Jon's Addiction), in which he stars as a guy with old-fashioned values — mostly. He prioritises his family, his friends, his faith, but most of all his porn. When the normally womanising Jon falls for hopeless romantic Barbara (Scarlett Johansson), he thinks he can juggle her and his secret addiction. Then she walks in on him in front of the computer, and he's not checking his email.
I know this doesn't sound like a traditionally romantic film, but the trailer is so damn charming! The movie seems quirky yet painfully honest, and how can you resist seeing Gordon-Levitt singing "Good Vibrations" to himself in the car?
