Stars Turnout for the Astra Awards in Sydney
Australian talent turned out at Sydney’s State Theatre last night to honour the best in the Pay TV industry. The LifeStyle Channel was named Channel of the Year and its popular programme Selling Houses Australia won four awards. The other big winner on the night was Showtime with Justine Clark and Ben Mendelsohn winning respective actor gongs for Tangle and Satisfaction’s Camille Keenan voted Best New Talent. UKTV’s miniseries False Witness upstaged Tangle to take out Most Outstanding Drama and Australia’s Next Top Model won for Most Outstanding Light Entertainment Programme. Celebs spotted on the red carpet included Sarah Murdoch, Ruby Rose, Miranda Otto, Erin McNaught, Tara Moss, Lee Furlong and Kris Smith.
