Take a good look peeps, coz this may be all we ever see of Lauren Conrad's reality show, which was shelved by MTV back in February. The series was set to focus on LC's fashion line Paper Crown, and give a TheSeptember Issue-esque look at the inside workings of her fashion label.  MTV apparently thought it too "high brow", but we're hoping that LC explores her network options as we're dying to see it. In the meantime, check out the ridiculously cute trailer, which is reminding me of those Target ads we saw not so long ago....agree?

Two style icons, one New York fashion event, two diversely different looks — you do the style maths! Sarah Jessica Parker and Lauren Conrad both graced the ENK Fashion Coterie Fall 2011 showcase event in NYC, and we couldn't help but compare the two. LC was there to unveil her Paper Crown line, and did so in her usual Cali-cool mixed with preppy polished way. Working a tan and black colour combo, Lauren's leather leggings were dressed up with a rather smart caramel blazer and tan peep toe booties. Sarah Jessica worked a more ladylike look, teaming a mid calf cobalt blue skirt (someone's been watching her NYFW trends!) with a black fitted coat, silver lurex pussy bow blouse and some seriously cool, steel toed pumps. So which fashion icon of the small screen gets your vote? The Hills' casual brand of cool from Lauren, or SJP's Sex and the City flavoured dramatic stylings?

Look at Audrina Patridge all glammed up! Although we know Audrina loves herself some sparkle, it took us by surprise when we caught a glimpse of the ex-Hills star in this RIDIC gown by Badgley Mischka at today's The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection show in NYC. Her deep red, one shouldered dress is encrusted with sequins — making her hard to miss on the red carpet. Teaming her sparkle-licious dress with a diamante cuff and delicate drop earrings, we can't decide if we love or loathe. Help us out, would ya? Is Audrina's look a yay, or a nay?

Lauren Conrad got us excited about her The September Issue-styled, TV project when she talked it up to Teen Vogue, but all of our reality show hopes have been dashed by MTV announcing her show will not be going into production. Boo! Unfortunately David Janollari, MTV's head of programming, didn't share Lauren's vision — saying of her pilot "It was a great attempt but it just didn’t feel like a perfect fit for us now.” Ouch. Not one to lay low, LC responded “We sold a show to MTV, filmed it and are really proud of the final result. MTV felt the subject matter was too high brow for their audience and offered me the opportunity to change the show by incorporating more of my personal life. We agreed going into the project that this show would be an aspirational one, focusing on my career and my goals and not my personal relationships. We delivered the show that we sold and are sorry MTV didn’t feel their viewers were savvy enough to appreciate it.” Looks like MTV wanted more love triangles and less fashion fittings! Are you as sore as us (or Lauren!) upon hearing the news?

Granted, she still looks gorgeous: her hair is super shiny and straight and her skin is flawless and radiant, but we'd have liked to see her step it up a little in the lip or eye department. Nothing CRAZY. Just a winged eye or a punchier lip tint. How about you? Do you like that Lo's kept her beauty on the down-low or not?

Gone are the blonde, supersized curls we're used to seeing on the reality star-turned-author-turned-fashion designer-turned-reality star-again, and in their place lies a richer 'do which is less princessy and much more sleek. We likey. Her choice of nailpolish also impressed us as it was an unexpected shade of greyish-blue which throws a modern spin on her classic look. Nice one, LC. Totes digging this updated vibe, are you?

I imagine that after sitting through a lengthy awards ceremony, there's only one thing to do: party! With so many stylish stars in attendance at yesterday's People's Choice Awards, it was only customary that they would pop up at glitzy afterparties. Some of our Fab faves headed to COVERGIRL'S 50th anniversary party, where they showed off flirty dresses, dazzling jewels, and a few sneaky dress changes too. Taylor Swift shifted from peach to black, and Niki Taylor did a quick change too. Lauren Conrad and Sophia Bush had nude attitudes, and current COVERGIRL spokeswoman Drew Barrymore glowed in a bright orange maxidress.
