We recently saw the trailer for True Blood's sixth season, and today we get to see even more with a batch of new pictures. There are lots of familiar faces, like Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Sookie (Anna Paquin), along with the first look at several new characters. True Blood will be back for its sixth season on June 16, and now we have a full trailer to show us what will be going down in Bon Temps this year. First off, the state of Louisiana declares war against the vampires, but there will be more reasons to watch than just a human vs. vampire showdown. Namely, there's a ton of shirtless Eric and Alcide, plus Sookie is getting some action from a mystery man. Mostly I'm happy that this footage leaves out bloody Bill and focuses on other stuff, but if you're into Bill, don't worry — he shows up, too.

Hollywood stars had a heavy workload this week. Tom Hardy got a lot of face-licking love from his latest costar on the set of Animal Rescue in Brooklyn, while Ryan Kwanten wielded weaponry as he shot scenes for True Blood in LA. Emma Stone was pretty in purple for Amazing Spider-Man 2 scenes in NYC, and down in Miami, Isla Fisher was on the beach in a bikini. Click through to see more of this week's stars on set!
Ryan Kwanten suited up for a day's work on the set of True Blood yesterday in LA. The handsome Aussie alternated between a muscle-baring tank and a police officer uniform while shooting scenes for the HBO hit. Ryan was joined by True Blood's newest villain, Rutger Hauer, who will play Macklyn — a man curiously linked to Sookie and Ryan's character, Jason Stackhouse.
True Blood's season five finale left a surprisingly high body count for fans of the vampire drama to tally and a cliffhanger to keep them stewing since August. The wait is nearing an end, as HBO announced the Summer series will return in June, with Ryan, Alexander Skarsgard, and new parents Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer reuniting for a sixth season.

The season five finale of True Blood has vampire goo and true deaths all over the place. Seriously, the vampire body count is so high that I lost count — and really, it's just one vampire death that caused my jaw to drop this week. There's a final showdown with Russell Edgington, but the buildup is really all about Sookie and Eric confronting Bill at the Authority in order to talk some sense into Bill before he loses himself completely in Lilith craziness.
But it's not all stakes and declarations of religious devotion: Andy becomes a proud fairy papa, and Alcide takes on some new responsibility as well. The season wraps up in the kind of bonkers fashion that I got used to seeing for the past weeks on this show, so let's break it all down after the jump.

There's a lot of progress made on this season's stories this week, and also a lot of ridiculousness. Bill's still hopelessly devoted to Lilith, Sookie and Jason team up with their fairy family to bring down Russell, and Pam sports a startling '80s side-ponytail/bun duo. Nothing really wraps up this week, but it does feel like the beginning of the end. It's one vampire death after another on this week's True Blood, as the Tru Blood shortage starts to wreak havoc on Bon Temps and beyond. Seriously, I can't remember the last time there was such an abundance of vampire guts across the board, from Sookie's foyer to Fangtasia and a few stops in between. It makes the episode's title all the more relevant, but the biggest loss isn't a death, as Hoyt drops a major bomb on Jessica and Jason.
With only a couple of episodes left, things are reaching a fever pitch: Russell and Steve share some intimate moments (thanks in part to Katy Perry), Sookie gets one step closer to finding out the truth about her parents, and Jessica gets tangled up in the wacky world of the Vampire Authority.
