Now that Jeff Bridges has that Oscar under his belt, it's time to take a look at his next project. A far cry from Bad Blake, Bridges will reprise his role as Kevin Flynn in the upcoming sequel to the 1982 sci-fi flick, Tron. In Tron Legacy, Flynn's computer savvy son Sam (Garrett Hedlund) follows a tip and sets out to find his father, who's been missing for the past 20+ years. What he finds is a cyber universe complete with spandex, Olivia Wilde and more Day-Glo than Burning Man.
Oh what a difference a few decades make! The gaming world is a hell of a lot cooler and clearly more futuristic than what we saw in the original (I've included the hilarious trailer for the first movie after the jump just to prove it). Even if Bridges is much older, it's still a treat to see him back in the arcade-like atmosphere. The movie doesn't hit theatres until next Christmas, but click through to get a taste.
i actually saw the trailer when i went to see alice in wonderland and i'm really excited about it. it's funny because i remember seeing tron when i was little and not really getting it but the remake really seems like it'll be good. (i know it's not technically a remake and that it's a sequel but to me since it's a new version - it's kind of like a remake)
