Why Everyone Is Talking About Lena Dunham's TV Show Girls

The show we’re currently discussing every week is Girls, which airs on Showcase. There was a lot of buzz surrounding the HBO series before its US launch in April, with critics praising the realistic portrayal of four twentysomething girls trying to navigate life in NYC. It was created by lead actress Lena Dunham, who also had a huge role behind the scenes, and was co-produced by Judd Apatow. The last two episodes of season one air on Monday (it has been picked up for a second series), so get up to speed with what people have called “the new Sex and the City.”

Girls airs on Monday at 8:30 p.m. on Showcase.
