Lea Michele chose the setting of The Ellen Degeneres Show and Ellen's company to open up for the first time on camera about Cory Monteith's death and what the past few months have been like for her. Lea stopped by Ellen's talk show for an interview, which airs Thursday, just days after releasing "Cannonball," the first single off her forthcoming album Louder. The Glee actress talked about what it meant for Kate Hudson to open up her home to Lea in her time of need, what made her want to write a song about Cory, and why she decided to return to work on the show that brought her together with Cory. Lea also share the story of "Cannonball," which was written by Sia, and how she is finding strength even through the grief.
Kanye West proudly sported his "Nori" necklace and his new-dad grin for a visit to The Ellen Degeneres Show this week. The interview airs in today's episode, and it's where Kanye will be debuting his sexy new video for "Bound 2" starring none other than his fiancée, Kim Kardashian. Kanye gushed about both his girls, talked about why he went with such an elaborate AT&T park engagement, and accepted Ellen's latest cheeky gift.
A couple of Kanye's sweetest moments in the interview come when asked about Kim. Kanye smiled while saying "practise made perfect" on whether North was planned, but politely declined to share the most intimate details of his proposal with Ellen.
Finally, Kanye also debuted the music video for his new single "Bound 2," which features an artistically topless Kim, and horses. You can watch that after the break!
We've all been envisioning the Kanye West and Kim Kardashian proposal moment since we first heard the news on Tuesday, but we can put our imaginations to rest, because there is video! We shared some fun, exclusive details about how Kanye planned the big moment, which went down in front of family, friends, an orchestra, their E! cameras, and some members of the San Francisco tech elite. Watch it now!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are engaged, but just how did it all go down? We have exclusive details about their incredible night at AT&T Park in San Francisco. It was a whirlwind Monday for Kanye, who swooped into SF at 9 a.m. for a walk through with his team, his Bay Area-based party planner Stanlee Gatti, and the staff who was in charge of pulling it all off in 12 hours. The initial emails about Kanye wanting to use the park came in on Thursday, but it wasn't until Monday that it all came together. In typical Kanye fashion, he had a vision for everything mapped out — including the exact wording for the Jumbotron, which read "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!!" But only a handful of people knew it was more than just a birthday party for Kim, who turned 33 yesterday.
Why AT&T Park? Our source who attended the event tells us that there was something about getting Kim out of her element that made it even more desirable to Kanye. The location "absolutely took her by surprise," we were told. "She thought she was just going out to dinner." Kim was blindfolded and brought in a car right onto the field, which was pitch black, save for a few space heaters, when she stepped outside into the chilly night air around 9 p.m.
Then came the sound of the crack of a bat and the cheers of a crowd from the sound system. That's when the fireworks went off and the lights came up to reveal the orchestra, some of whom had been flown in from Kanye's hometown of Chicago for the event. As soon as Kanye got down on one knee, the Jumbotron message flashed up. The music played as their friends and family — led by Kris Jenner — stormed out of the dugout to greet the happy couple. "I've never seen more pairs of Louboutins on the field at one time," said one attendee.
Family members and close loved ones Khloé, Kourtney, Kris, Kylie and Kendall were joined by friends, including Jonathan Cheban and members of SF's elite tech crowd. Kanye's friend and adviser, Virgil Abloh, took the DJ booth, and the group of about 100 people celebrated on the field before bringing it up to the clubhouse level for more partying.
Kanye was "invested in the vision and very particular about what he wanted," but also "open to the expertise of the staff," our source revealed. As for nerves — only the very few who knew what he had up his sleeve ever would have noticed. He pulled it off without a hitch and managed to surprise Kim, his wife-to-be. The SF Giants may not have made it to the post-season this year, but AT&T Park still managed to have all eyes on it for one very special night in October.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are engaged, E! Online confirms. Kanye popped the question in an over-the-top manner (as if we would expect anything else) by renting out San Francisco's AT&T Park for an epic celebration for Kim's 33rd birthday. Kanye asked her to marry him there, and hopefully soon we'll have more details on the surely one-of-a-kind moment. Kanye proposed with a 15-carat diamond ring from jeweller Lorraine Schwartz, and Kim was decked out in a Valentino minidress despite the chilly SF weather.
Kim was with Kanye when he kicked off his Yeezus tour over the weekend, and he's bringing it to the Bay Area with a show in Oakland, California, this week. It's obviously going to be a meaningful next performance for Kanye, as he serenades his wife-to-be and mother to his daughter, North.
Kim's hairstylist posted a photo of Kim with her brand-new ring on Instagram, writing, "Guess what just happened!"
Here's an Instagram video of the Jumbotron that read, "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!!" while a 50-piece orchestra played.
Kendall Jenner also posted a photo of the scene.
Kate Middleton showed off her form — her volleyball form, that is — today at her first official solo event since giving birth in July. Kate sported skinny jeans, high wedges, and a familiar blue and white striped shirt to help support young athletes at London's Olympic Park for the charity Sportaid. The Duchess of Cambridge was beaming as she greeted kids and took to the court for an impromptu volleyball game. She even gave the crowd a peek at her amazing abs as she reached for an overhead hit. This is a far more casual event than her next duties. Her son, Prince George, will have his official christening next week on Oct. 23. The royal family has been gushing over Prince George, and the world anxiously awaits getting another glimpse at the precious little one. We haven't seen George since his official portrait with William and Kate, so we're looking forward to seeing how much he has grown already!
If Miley Cyrus was going to open up about her breakup anywhere, Ellen seems like a good place to do it. Miley's promotional train continued to roll with a stop by The Ellen DeGeneres Show in an episode that airs today. Ellen asked Miley about the VMAs performance, of course, and what it has been like bringing Bangerz to the world. Ellen switched topics to something that Miley hasn't been so open about: ending her engagement with Liam Hemsworth. Miley admitted that much of the album is about their relationship and that saying she is the happiest she's ever been isn't a "dig" at their love, though she hasn't actually seen Liam since they announced the split. Watch Miley open up about Liam, and see the whole Ellen interview on the show.
Jenna Dewan Tatum stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to chat about her new show Witches of East End and, of course, her new baby girl, Everly, with husband Channing Tatum. The beefcake actor is apparently a big softie when it comes to his daughter, and he's not afraid to show off his expert nappy-changing skills. Channing also has a special skill when it comes to calming Everly down: beatboxing! Adorable little Everly sounds just as smitten with daddy as the rest of the world already. Check out the cute clip.
Just as Jeff Daniels promised in the Emmys press room, he followed up his Newsroom win by heading right to the set of Dumb and Dumber 2! Jeff teamed up with his partner in crime Jim Carrey to share some amazing photos of them back in character as Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas on the set this morning. They also launched an official DumbTo Instagram account, so hopefully that means we'll be seeing a lot more of their antics filming the follow-up to their 1994 comedy. There was a prequel, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, that did not star Jim and Jeff, so Dumb and Dumber fans have been waiting a whole 10 years for this. As for whether they'll be returning to Aspen, where the beer flows like wine, we'll have to wait and see.
Zooey Deschanel picked a cool blue J. Mendel gown with a thigh high slit for today's Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. Zooey's show New Girl isn't up for any awards at the show, but she's there to support her TV industry comrades. Zooey also already showed off her Emmy night nail art on Instagram and hopefully she'll share more behind the scenes candids as the night goes on. The Emmys action is just getting started so be sure to check out all the red carpet arrivals, and weigh in on all our fashion and beauty polls.
What's white and black and just adorable? The guys of One Direction at the NYC premiere of their new movie This Is Us today at the Ziegfeld Theatre. Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan coordinated their outfits, though each guy had a touch of their own flare. The looks weren't so different from what they all wore to yesterday's VMAs, where they acted as presenters and winners of song of the Summer for "Best Song Ever." There was a bit of controversy about their win, but Lady Gaga sprung into action to defend One Direction when they got booed while accepting their Moonman. As for Harry and his ex Taylor Swift? Even if she did talk a little smack to Selena Gomez when he presented, Harry and Taylor were happy to pose for a photo with friends at the official after party. One Direction has some more promotion to do before This Us Us hit cinemas on Sept. 19 — Event Cinemas CineBuzz members can see it first on Aug. 31 in line with the rest of the world.
Miley Cyrus thrusted, twerked and got sexy with teddy bears and Robin Thicke during her showy VMAs performance today in Brooklyn. During the audacious "We Can't Stop"/"Blurred Lines" medley, the cameras cut to some of the audience reactions. Drake looked to be a little bit distracted, but Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and their kids, Willow and Jaden, were literally mouth agape watching Miley's jaw-dropping moves. Enjoy a smile watching the Smiths take in everything Miley had to offer.
The VMAs are just getting started and there's already a bit of controversy — thanks to Taylor Swift, of course. Her ex Harry Styles and the boys of One Direction came out to present Best Pop Video and as soon as they walked onto the stage the cameras cut to Taylor. She was seated right next to her BFF Selena Gomez and it appeared as if Taylor made a comment upon seeing her boy band ex. So watch this clip and tell us, do you think that is what she was saying?
Katy Perry let her animal side shine with her embellished dress at the MTV VMAs today in Brooklyn. Katy was one of the first stars to arrive at the show because she actually has to leave the Barclay Center for her performance later in the evening. Katy will be singing her new hit single, "Roar," underneath the Brooklyn Bridge to close the show.
Kanye West's full interview on Kris Jenner's talk show is up — and it's amazing! Kanye shows off his silly side (yes it exists), his very sweet side (yes, that exists too!), and his actually very touching relationship with Kim's mother Kris. Kanye and Kris tackle topics like his embarrassment over struggling with a carseat, how he fell in love with Kim at first sight, and what it's like living under the same roof with the Kardashian family. Kris even blows up Kanye's spot a little bit, talking up his goofiness, tenderness, and the love he shares with Kim. And, just in time for his performance at tomorrow's VMAs, Kanye admits that he has a much different take on his Taylor Swift interruption incident at the award show all those years ago.
Plus, of course, there's the moment he shows off the precious baby North West pictures. If you think you know what Kanye is all about, this might just change the way you think about him and his relationship with Kim Kardashian.
Mic check, mic check one.. two... is this thing on?!

Jennifer Aniston's travel overseas was rumoured to be rife with a possibly awkward run in, but once she got there she was all smiles with her We're The Millers co-star Jason Sudeikis at their London premiere yesterday evening. Jennifer threw fiancé Justin Theroux a star-studded birthday party in LA over the weekend and was spotted showing off her enormous engagement ring at LAX as she jetted off on this adventure. Her flight could have been an uncomfortable one, apparently, since an airline source revealed that Jen was scheduled to be on the same flight as Angelina Jolie. Jennifer ended up changing her departure time, though no real word on whether Angelina was the reason. Either way Jennifer is certainly sick of the rumour mill — she did call out reporters for asking about wedding and any pregnancy plans so frequently.
Jay-Z just made his highly anticipated announcement during the half-time commercial break of the NBA Finals in the US — he has a new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, dropping July 4 (no Australian release date is known at this point). This was also Jay's moment to reveal his new partnership with Samsung, which reportedly earned him a $20 million paycheck. There's a website — MagnaCartaHolyGrail.com was also launched, with more details about the Samsung promotion. The video is just a teaser, featuring some of his friends like Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, Timbaland and Rick Rubin, but it does give us a little taste of what we can expect from the sound.
Will Jay-Z be giving us another amazing track? We'll have to see, but for now, tell us whether or not you're excited about this announcement.
Happy first US Father's Day to Channing Tatum! Channing and Jenna Dewan-Tatum chose the sweet holiday to share the first picture of their baby, Everly Tatum, on both of their Facebook pages. Jenna's caption gushed about their "lil angel." Channing and Jenna welcomed baby Everly on May 31 in London, where Channing has been working on his movie Jupiter Ascending. Since then, Channing has switched into promotional mode for White House Down, which is released here on Sept. 5. He'll be making a series of appearances in DC, NY and LA over the next couple of weeks to promote it in the US.
