Snakeskin is big for this season in the fashion world. We saw it at the Rebecca Minkoff and Tibi S/S 2011 shows and snakeskin stilettos have been spotted on the feet of many of Hollywood's leading ladies including Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth. But if you don't have the cash to splash on the real deal, or snakeskin isn't your thing, there's a beauty take on the trend which is as pretty as it is pythony. Part of Tom Pecheux's lastest Pure Color collection for Estée Lauder, the Topaz Chameleon Illuminating Powder Gelée ($75) adds instant warmth to the skin. Its unique liquid, powder and gel formulation means it can be applied wet (for a stronger pop of pigment) or dry (for a subtle sun-kissed glow) and the palette's golden pigments sit on the surface of the skin for added luminosity. Not only is it on-trend but incredibly versatile to, serving as bronze, blush and contour. That is, of course, is you dare to disturb the effect.
Estée Lauder Topaz Chameleon Illuminating Powder Gelée will be available from January 29.
