How to Do Alexa Chung's Thick and Thin Winged Eye

How-To: Alexa Chung's Daintily Winged Eye in 3 Simple Steps

We've spoken before, at length, about my love for Alexa Chung and her eyeliner. As we're besties, she's let me into the *inner circle and told me how to do it, which I'm now going to tell you. Use it tonight and I guarantee the boys will come a-flockin'.

STEP 1: Coat the lids with i.d. bareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer ($45) which will help any eye product stay strong. Now, because I find most liquid liners a pain in the ass to deal with, I'm going to suggest the insanely-easy-to-use Pop Beauty Cat Eyes Liner in Black Onyx ($35.95). It's creamy and emga easy to apply. Bloom does a similar one; both are slanted so they do the hard work for you. Starting in the centre of the lash line, above your pupil, draw outwards towards the end of our eye and stop at the corner of your lash line. DO NOT FLICK.

Keep reading . . .STEP 2: Back to the centre-point of your lash line again and this time we're going to work towards your nose. This line should be a bit thinNer than the outer one. But as with anything, it's best to go gently, gently. Do a thin line first and you can always build it up depending on how look at me you want to go.

STEP 3: Using a pen-style liner, such as Napoleon Perdis Neo Noir Liquid Liner ($28), draw a thin line across the top of the other liner, starting at your pupil, and extend out towards your temple. It's all about a thin line so remember to angle the pen more on its tip than on its side. How far out you want to go is up to you, but about half a centimetre is true Lex stye. Finish with mascara and you're ready to rock 'n' roll.

*Sadly this is but a dream of mine. What really did happen is that I've been wearing this everyday and this is the best way to steal her style.
