Following our round-up of the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week beauty looks, we're shining our beauty torch on Chanel. The house is known to send cool but very feminine beauties down the runway (Chanel beauty marks and pearl nose rings, anyone?); so last week's sharp turn to a more contoured, masculine look was not only an interesting one, but the perfect fodder for your Winter beauty look. Global creative director for Chanel makeup, Peter Philips, looked to the house's creative director for his beauty cues. "The inspiration for this show's makeup came from a beauty sketch by Karl Lagerfeld. It featured strong plum shading and strong 'smoky' eyebrows," says Peter. Keep reading.
"I really focused on the eyebrows using Le Sourcil De Chanel ($105) and Crayon Sourcils ($45) to make them stronger, more dramatic and at the same time elegant," says Peter. "The lips stay pretty and natural with just a dab of lip balm Rouge Coco Baume. For the nails I chose the nail polish Le Vernis Ballerina ($39)."
