It was all about messy, sexy, '60s hair at Marc Jacobs' Spring 2013 show at New York fashion week. "I love the sixties. They’re still incredibly modern," said makeup director for the show, Francois Nars. "She’s a typical Marc girl... very New York City, very chic, very interesting." We saw a lot of Edie Sedgwick in the look, but there's no direct link to the recent Nars and Andy Warhol Foundation For the Visual Arts collaboration.
Nars used the Nars Mambo Eyeliner Pencil to create a wing and crease contouring, then added a bit of '60s by layering lashes with Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara.
Redken lead stylist, Guido Palau, used Redken Guts and dry shampoo to create a messy, matte bouffant; working the roots with Quick Tease to create the height. Click through to see the hair and makeup up close on the runway.
