Rachel McAdams has landed the cover of Glamour magazine's February 2012 issue, sporting a volumised, tousled up 'do and bold red lip. The Notebook star talked about her new film The Vow, how she ties her hair up in buns all over her head to get it dry, as well as the various beauty looks she's tried both on- and off-screen.
On her past hairstyles: I always wanted pink hair. I wanted to do my whole head, but my hairstylist, Robert, was like, "How about we start small?" I absolutely loved it. I still think about doing blue at some point, but I don't like to change my hair before I'm about to do [a film] — you never know what that character's going to be.
Her makeup as a competitive figure skater: I definitely was in the sequinned, bedazzled era. We would put blue eyeshadow up our eyebrows, and glitter all over our faces.
On developing her character's look: Yeah, I love those preliminary conversations about who a character is. You try on wigs, shoes and clothes. It's preferable when it's not about looking pretty. It can get a little dull to just be cute.
