Overall we were both pretty impressed. Alison plans to use the Color.Bugs again but I probably wouldn't as the colour wasn't as noticeable as I would've liked.
On my brunette hair the colour came out easily. Most was removed when I brushed through to test if that removed the colour — it does, so brush before, not after! — and it easily washed out the next day.
Alison's faded overnight but was still in the next morning so you can get slightly longer out of it if you look after it. She slept on a towel and with her hair tied up. When she did wash her hair, it took three washes to get all of the colour out.
I'd recommend setting the colour with a little bit of hairspray. We didn't and it came off on coats, scarves, everywhere.
One last thing. The instructions don't actually say anything about using a product pre-application to increase vibrancy but according to our US editors, this can have an effect. They recommend using a hairspray or setting spray if you want softer colour and a thick wax or cream if you want it brighter.
