Review of Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick

The Lipstick Chronicles: Day 5

It's the final day of our trial of Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Top Tomato ($26.95). See what us Ladies in Red have thought about the whole experience . . .

Pop: I’m in the holiday home stretch! There’s still a long line of festivities: I’ve got work Chrissie drinks (red dress + Top Tomato = tomatolicious), Christmas Day (white sundress which I can make pop with a red pout) and very special NYE drinks on the harbour with new BF–no matter how many canapés and celebratory drinks I consume, the one thing I don’t have to worry about is reapplying my lipstick constantly. I’m SO ready to ring in 2010!

Fab: Right, so I’m officially a lipstick convert thanks to my trusty Top Tomato. I’ve definitely learned a few things from the lippy, too:
- Red is timeless, it never looks old (handy for photos!)
- Keep accessories to a minimum when bold lips are your feature
- There’s a reason why so many hollywood hotties choose the shade – it instantly makes you look amazing!
- Forget Panadol, if you’re feeling a little off, perk up with statement lips!

Bella: What a week it's been. I'm not usually used to rocking a red pout for five days straight but I could get used to the queue jumping and turning heads! I've loved it, and like Fab have picked up an insider tip or two to help you get the most out of it. Moisturise your lips first, while this isn't as drying as some long-lasting formulas that I've tried, it can be tough work on your lips if you're sporting it 24/7; line your lips, sure it looks like a gloss but that can be dangerous, it's slippery when you apply but then dries to colour that you simply CANNOT remove unless you have a face wipe handy; be aware that, although it's food-proof, it still comes off on cups, no biggie for us but apparently the boys don't want red lipstick on their glass. Fussy or what?
